    Sorry, D. I just don't see it.

I think Amir loses to a lot of A- fighters, let alone A+'s.

When you look at it realistically, he's really not all that, unfortunately. The main thing he has going for him is his speed.

Yeah, I don't expect him to be much more than a decent champ/titleholder.

He's done very well for himself. People were writing him off back in 08' when he got stopped by Prescott.

That all depends who they put in front of him now. Mayweather or Pac could definitely discourage Khan and his confidence. If he does not fight either fighter before they retire, then I could see him dominating in the future. I would love to see him fight Ortiz and Berto when he steps up to the welter weight class. Those to fights would be a good test before fighting May or Pac, should he ever face Pac.

Nah man, just being realistic about it. Hope he proves me wrong, though.

I reckon he can beat the likes of Berto, but I just don't see him being so effective at 147 pounds. His style is still a little amateurish for my liking and the way he throws his jab sometimes and leaves himself completely open for the counter right.... ouch, he's going to pay for that mistake some day.

I hope I'm wrong though, because he did improve in the Judah fight. I personally expect a tough fight with Peterson, because the dude is pretty solid and is pretty game.

I agree, Peterson from a technical standpoint offers a good test and should tell us how far Khan has developed. If he struggles with Peterson, after 3 years with Roach, I think we can safely assume he has plateaued and won't be getting much better. The Judah fight was deceptive, Khan just physically held all the advantages & Zab quit. Peterson won't surrender so Khan will have to outbox or stop him...

Thank you. Khan has brillian handspeed, but he's simply average in too many other facets (punching power, defense, footwork et al).

I take it you haven't heard the news. Amir said that he is retiring at 28. These are his words. This is why he wants the big fights now. He kinda needs a Mayweather or Pacquiao fight if he wants to be remembered as a great. Sad but true.

I would like to see fights between Khan and the likes of Berto and Ortiz. As sloppy and amateurish as Khan can be, Ortiz and Berto are flawed as well.

Berto is very squared up when he fights, and Ortiz has a tendency to do this as well. I think of Berto and Khan as both very fast-handed guys who rely more on physical gifts than technical skills. But I think Khan at least has more room for improvement in his technique, and seemed to improve in his last fights. I don't think Berto will ever change.

Khan's done well for himself because many felt he wouldn't go beyond euro level because of his chin. How far he goes depends on how he develops under Roach and if his skilled development has plateaud etc
