    :deal

Showtime has money invested in this guy and wants to make him look good. They aren't going to put a clip of his personal ref saving his belt for him.

It's a promotional clip. Take it for what it is.

 yeah till Nov 5th.. that will be his legit test against a well repected fighter.. But the real test is when he faces Ward, Froch, Dirrell either one of them.. Kessler...?

I would even add Pirog to that list. Both are fun to watch.

I don't want to assume stuff when posting, so I'll ask you; are you saying there are good chances to see Bute wobbled and leg-less in the 11th/12th against Johnson?

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=17659&more=1

As much as Kessler's health issues have been brought to light, and considering the general acknowledgement regarding Froch & AA's injuries during the S6, nobody outside of QC seems to recognize the legitimacy of Bute's illness prior to Andrade I. He was exhausted, and was extremely lucky not to be declared out on his feet but took the UD as per the rules & regs, bringing home a lesson he'll never forget. Would you forget a nightmare like that?? And do you honestly believe Bute can't pace himself now after surviving that episode and turning the tide big time in the rematch?!?? Larouche & Bute know all about Johnson being relentless, having a tight defense and ultimately a pretty damn good chin. At 168 though, and at this age (although I don't agree with all of what Froch said about him), Johnson's body can probably be exploited for a number of rounds. Johnson reduces his workrate in the championship rounds, right? And you see Bute stand in there as Johnson's walking punching bag just like he was, ill, for Andrade?

I hate to mention livers and ****, but that counter left hook to the liver is a fairly strong possibility here, as far as landing power punches on Johnson goes.

Bute may be the most versatile guy at the weight

fast feet, fast hands powerful left, one shot KO power to the body which is lethal, and if his left to the body doesnt end it the fight at least has changed tides

I mean he drops Andrade and Magee with a left to the body and when they stop protecting their head because they are so worried about the body attack they get KO'd up stairs

He KO'd several pretty good fighters with one shot

He hasnt fought the best but he hasnt fought total bums either

i think the skills speak for themselves he just needs to secure a good fighter to beat to show it to everyone

Johnson is that fight though most will discredit it to no end

he needs to beat Froch Ward or Kessler and he is quite capable of beating all 3

Can you imagine a late Bute KO via accumulation of uppercuts to the chin, in the pocket? Couple of entire rounds of inside work? Against all odds?!???

Johnson is rangier AND shorter (!!!) than Bute after all. Fukkin right the uppercuts would hit.

Bute isn't so dangerous, he's more dangerous to the women of Montreal. SOG would make him look like Jerson Ravelo
