No for me. I didn't see anything on Saturday to make me thing his performance was affected by having to make 175lbs.
Tbh i think Tony's looked really solid and strong in his last two fights i think he's strengthened legs and also his technique and gameplan has looked sharper and better. I don't see a major need but if the chance came to knock seven shades of **** out of Huck you wouldn't turn it down .
Tony has looked strong in his last two fights I think he should stay at 175 for the time being moving up another 10 pounds or so is always an option for him in the future. I think that the switch from Arnie has done him the world of good his new/old trainers have got him back to his amateur roots and his boxing ability is now coming through. Utilise that with his natural power and you have a winning combination. The one thing I would stress the importance of however is to keep the weight down between fights keep in training at a good weight and work on the boxing rather than getting the weight down.
He looks like he makes the weight comfortably and he's strong at it, for now if he moved up it would tell me he wasn't working hard enough. As he fills out he can move up, i believe that he can win world titles at both LHW and CW...
if he can stay, stay i say. cruiser can be a ace up his sleeve for matchmaking. remember its a big jump the 175 to 200.
Maybe soon...... back to back fights against Cleverly then the ring light heavyweight strap and defend it once maybe then move up.
Yes... He stated he was training on a empty stomach, and throwing up bile. All respects to Tony Bellew, but that's alittle extreme and a slightly ******ed thing to do. Health repercussions etc..
not until he wins a world title at light-heavy otherwise all this hard work and weight making would have been for nothing.
