Can you guys name your top 3 very good fighters, that could've been great had they been born with a better chin.
I don't know if he would've been great but Augie Sanchez was a very promising amateur and had a punch and some skills but his chin was useless. Rafael Ruelas was better than Sanchez but his chin let him down big time in big fights with De La Hoya and Tszyu and also against Mauro Guttierez earlier in his career. Mark Breland probably fits the thread pretty well actually.
he was one of the most awkward, explosive, unbelieveably unothodox fighters ive ever seen. if only he had an iron chin....
He was rarely hurt in his whole career. It was his awkwardness that saw him off balance, caught and put over, his lack of technical nuance that saw him in those positions. If he'd had an iron chin, he still could've been outmanouvered.
