    What if his "issue" is just getting outworked and out-scored, and proving to be too frustrated with the old man's style to be effective and do the better work?

    Does it HAVE to automatically be that "Oh, something was wrong with Nonito..."? That's a bull**** mentality, IMO. If there are no official reports of anything seriously wrong with him, it won't stop people with that same bull**** mentality from insisting there was.

    A win should be presumed clean until compellingly proven tainted. :deal

    Narvaez is a solid champion and a helluva fighter in his own right. Even if he's not perceived as being in Donaire's league, he deserves more respect than a dismissive brush-off as unable to beat Donaire without "b-b-b-b-b-b-b-buts". :nono

    I don't consider an undefeated, 2 division champ, and almost 10 years consistently defending his titles a "nobody". He still an old midget tho and that can't be change.

    Everyone be forewarned: the poll is both public and set with an expiration (half an hour before the HBO broadcast, to be precise). So once you vote it's there for all to see forever, and you only have until fight night so it has to be your feelings before things play out.

    :blabla Empty words, Unicron. Ortiz was a big underdog against Mayweather. Narvaez is a GIGANTIC underdog against Donaire.

    The whole "manner of victory" thing only applies in 50-50 match-ups (or close enough to them). When it's off the charts mayhem at the sportsbooks as is the case here, you don't get to hide behind that.

    Donaire was not dominating either, that was my point.

    The fight was ended by one punch that could have easily have gone the other way.

    Narvaez is the bum version of Montiel...All he has going for him is his chin and thats not saying alot, plus he doesnt have the Argentine refs to help him out.

    i disagree. donaire easily won the first round. 2nd round montiel was gaining some steam and confidence until donaire landed the punch. donaire said in a post fight interview that he let montiel gain some confidence and timed him on that punch. so in a way, donaire really controlled the fight.

    Anyone who would deny Narvaez ANY of the following recognitions, should he pull this off:


    • Fighter of the Year 2011 (three defenses of super flyweight title, then moving up to beat highly regarded bantamweight champion)


    • p4p #10 at least for those of you who keep lists (having beaten the man held by many at #3).


    • Guaranteed first-ballot admission into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (between the long unbeaten streak against world-rated opp, the zillion defenses and this win)


    • Biggest world championship upset since Douglas-Tyson (which it would be, going by the bookies)


    (ALL four, part and parcel, lock stock and barrel, kit & kaboodle)
