Don't jusdge the guys record. Judge the actual punches that he through, they were big shots that james gave him time to throw.

If you read my previous posts you will see I support most of what you have said on here. You will also see that I was one of the few to pick Groves to beat Degale from early on.

Ottke was notoriously feather fisted but take a look at the Knockout of Anthony Mundine!!!

But Mundine's feather chinned! I think you're stretching here - Piotr can dig a little but he's rarely done that to his opponents.

Mate you are still judging based on what he has done in the past.

Look at the shots that wobbled james, they were bit shots.

To say otherwise is intellectual dishonesty of the highest order!!!

A moderate puncher doesn't become a massive puncher - that's just crazy. They were clean shots, I'll grant you that, which did play a part - but Piotr wasn't throwing harder than usual, at least not to my eyes.

DeGale just doesn't have a great chin.

In this thread you have been quick to point to 'all the evidence'.

The vast majority of evidence from degales amateur and pro career suggest he has a decent beard. Remember he didn't go down either.

And I'm not same Piotr is a massive puncher I'm saying he threw and landed some big shots the other night.

Still in my mind James biggest problem is his jab.

He would not have got into the trouble he ended up in if he had a proper jab.

I think it would last longer than that but I agree he would stop him.

Some dumb **** on here (probably Earl Hickey) thought DeGale would be competitive with Bute. This was after Bute beat Magee and DeGale beat Smith. Ridiculous, quite honestly.

No one's arguing Groves is much better (if they are, they're pretty silly). But he looks to have an attitude that will carry him further. But FFS - they're both prospects - why is everyone predicting their futures?

I'd rather they had tough fights now and learnt when they could still pull it out. But they both have to show growth - and I haven't seen that from DeGale as yet.

Stayed on his feet? Your post wasn't really a response to mine anyway, I didn't say who I thought was better.
