great call - my mates girlfriend and her mates watched that because a) it was on ITV b) it was on at a reasonable hour and these girls are the most non boxing people you could ever meet

It was a great advertisement to the casual that boxing can be great outside of those fighters they are 'supposed to like' - one actually said "is this what boxing is really like?! If its like this id watch it all the time!"

.....then she probably watched Haye v Wlad and came to her senses

Not as left field as you think. Had a few people pick that one including Barkery Jammeh from Main Event Boxing Show

a couple of obscure ones :

McCracken v Eastman, not for the fight because Eastman won well that night but for what it turned out to be for both men. Howard was frustrating, lazy but the night against Mcracken he turned it on though, and in this form he was as good as any home based fighter of this era.

Williams v Potter, with one shoulder dislocated, almost defenceless and in serious trouble Danny drove a left up from his shoe laces to finish the fight....are you listening Bernard Hopkins

And one less obscure but cant see it mentioned :

Rogie v Skelton, How did he win that fight?!!!

Murray-Mitchell also had Bellew-McKenzie II and Burns-Cook on the card so I can't put it up there as one of the great recent British nights myself.

Quigley-Dodson. Don't know if it's been mentionned previously. Bellew-Cleverly can go in there now surely and don't know if you're including Prizefighter but I'd say Derry-Mathews vs Choi 2- more a great win mentally than anything, he got hit a few times and could have remembered the 1st fight but carried on regardless for a great win imo.
