Of course its matter who he beat .. Cunnigham was #1 Adamek was #2 and there was no champion because the ***** Haye refused fighting Cunnigham to become undisputed CW ... he moved up. Then two highest in rank contenders fought for the right to be called a champion ... Ring and linear titles are guarantee of this. Oh gush "handi-capped" Britain .... LOL Why not full Britain vs full Eastern Euro block ... are you afraid of challenge?
To become the man, you have to beat the man. Hatton beat Zoo, Haye beat Mormeck. It's unfortunate that Adamek-Haye never met at CW. Just forget the points system, it's stupid and useless.
Analyse it as you want, for me English (a higher level society with a true royal blood) won by hair with family of plumbers and toilet cleaners ... impressive, very impressive.
I'll do Britain vs full Eastern Euro block in terms of football. But in terms of boxing Britain is not as big as countries like Cuba and Puerto Rico even though population wise, we're much bigger. There is no challenge, Eastern Europe runs boxing. Why were the Cubans so successful? Soviet Union coaches. Give it 10 more years and they'll have an iron grip on boxing.
You mean national teams or clubs ... because I doubt England combined with other British nations is so successful these days.
We can do both national teams and clubs. Lets be honest, Stinky. Britain is hardly a big boxing nation and immigrants make up the majority of our champions for a reason. Poland vs England, in Rugby? That's a good one. :yep
its garbage, club wise they are successful, but that is because they have rich people behind the clubs, who spend a shitload of money on foreign players.
You know the rule exists that if there is no man in the house you have to fight for it with the strongest possible opponent?
Put it this way; You beat the man, you become the man. If the man has moved up a weight class, you fight the next best option. You become the boy. Can we drop it now though, we're nearing the conclusion of this thread.
I doubt the rugby exists in Poland ... but they are good in winter sports ... maybe you can compare yourselves in ski jumping or hockey?
Oh gush ... I would be sooooooooooo happy we could finally conclude somethings ... I will give you the final shot ....
Ski jumping? Well I'm pretty sure Eddie the Eagle defeats whatever Poland have ever created. Hockey? I don't think it exists over here. That's what I'm trying to say though, in terms of boxing popularity, Britain is comparable to Poland.
Lets put it ... I don't fully agree with you, I would say Britain as a whole is better, England is very comparable ... but I can still live happy if you not fully agree with me
Why do you think boxing is big in Britain? Cycling & rowing get more coverage. The only time boxing is on the news is when Khan or Haye fight/fought.
