No no, my bad... I really meant take it easy (like catch you later). That's all. We're good. You seem to take the proper tact to me, so we're good:good

There must be a rematch or Hopkins is a fraud if he tries to move on leaving that as the end result. I think Chad's gonna be fuming at this verdict and will be (despite what he said) be screaming for a rematch. Rematch and not on PPV and ASAP. Hopkins rematch or retire you fraud.

This is a steaming pile of horse**** from start to finish.

The only sensible resolution is a NC, with an immediate mandated rematch.

**** earnings, **** how much Hopkins can earn fighting a stiff, if you're going to invalidate the result, you have to have the fight again.

Personally, I would had stuck with the TKO. Hopkins is a shameless dirty fighter, who in the last few years has consistently tried to con the ref.

This time somebody fought dirty back, and look how Hopkins carried on. You reap what you sow. Hopkins started with a foul, and got fouled back, only better and harder. Hopkins doesn't jump all over Dawson, and he doesn't get thrown. Simple.

Personally I would have stayed with the TKO, but mandated that Dawson has to fight Hopkins next, within 6 months or be stripped.

There is no doubt in my mind that money changed hands (or future promises were made) to get this outcome.

WBC awards light heavyweight belt back to Hopkins

    1 hour, 0 minutes ago

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—The WBC has returned the light heavyweight championship to Bernard Hopkins after declaring his bout with Chad Dawson a technical draw.

Hopkins was stopped for the first time in his career Saturday night in bizarre fashion when Dawson lifted him and tossed him to the canvas late in the second round, leaving the 46-year-old champion with a dislocated joint in his shoulder. Dawson claimed the WBC light heavyweight title from Hopkins on a second-round TKO in Los Angeles.

The WBC reviewed video of the fight and unanimously declared Thursday that the action reflects a clear intentional lifting the body followed with a push by Dawson to Hopkins that made him fall on his left side with part of his body out of the ropes.
Hopkins’ injury also was taken into consideration.
The WBC also considered Dawson’s foul violated the rule that was against “any rough tactics other than clean punches.”

    :think

    Wow, this is interesting... :smoke

It is official alright. What I do not get is if the WBC Board of Governors unanimously declared that the action reflects a Clear intentional lifting the body followed with a push by Dawson to Hopkins, that made him fall on his left side with part of his body out of the ropes, why is that the same unanimously declared a technical draw on the fight? Can somebody, if not Arcane himself, enlighten me on this one?
