If not Haye, who should Vitali fight next?

Well, there's no one out there. Vitali was looking to fight Krasniqi, but Krasniqi bitched out of the eliminator with Banks. However, Krasniqi has alot of clout in D-land and Vitali never got to KO him.

Idk if Vitali's next opponent will be a Top 10 guy after he just took down the top contender. We may get another Briggs-style opponent.

Liakovitch is another leftover who got to shine while Vitali was retired and Vitali was looking to fight him last June. I think Liakovitch had a pretty good showing against Helenius. Vitali would catch flak for it but at least Liakovitch would go down swinging.

SNV is likely done but as of a few months ago he was still considering coming back to face Vitali.

Chagaev is another ex-champ looking for a pay-day...perfect for Vitali's resume.

Dimitrenko is a likely opponent, assuming a deal with Haye can't be reached. It's a mismatch, but at least Vitali would be fighting a guy his own size or bigger.

Povetkin and Helenius are "worthy" but no way they'd want to face Vitali right now.

Given the dearth of options I wouldn't mind a Solis rematch, but I suspect K2 are still pissed and don't want to deal with Solis' corrupt management team.

 

I still think he ends up fighting Haye, if not next atleast sometime in 2012. There aren't a lot of options right now for Vitali, I guess he could fight Stiverne and get it out of the way. Maybe he can entice Povetkin after he beats Boswell but I'm skeptical Povetkin fights either of the brothers in 2012. I wouldn't mind seeing Thompson going straight to the mandatory slot for Wlad which would free Chambers up to possibly face Vitali. I actually think Chambers has a decent shot there, my money would be on Vitali but its an intersting and I think competitive fight. Chambers has a better shot at beating the more stationary and slower Vitali than he does Wlad.

 

Are people still being tricked by the myth of Haye? Vitali would kill him. Adamek was faster on foot than Vitali too and it didnt help. At least Adamek took a few swings at Vitali and Haye will just run,hide,fall down etc. Blame it all on the long retirement.

 

Krasniqi, Valuev, and Lyackovich, to me, won't be fighting Vitali next for different reasons. I wouldn't say impossible but I'd be very surprised.

Dimitrenko and Chagaev are both possible options I guess and I wouldn't be shocked to see one of them facing Vitali next. Dimitrenko would get ran over and Chagaev would be semi-competitive, but both would get ko'ed.

Povetkin and Helenius would be very attractive opponents and I would really like to see one of them face Vitali in 2012 but I don't think either go after Vitali quite yet. If we're lucky one might face Vitali at the end of the year but neither fight him next.

 

lets demand Wlad and Vitaly fight together, boycot all other options!

 

Wlad couldnt beat Sanders but Vitali did. Wlad couldnt stop Peter in the first fight but Vitali made Peter quit.Wlad couldnt beat purrity but Vitali did by tko.
So it shows that just cause wlad couldnt ko or tko haye doesnt mean vitali cant ko or tko haye.

 

They offered Tua a fight, contingent on him defeating Barett.. OH WELL, so much for that!

People would cringe if Vitaly picked Barrett and most of the other names bandied about are just not feasable. So just fight Stiverne & Shirley and get it over with. If Grant defeats Botha that has possibility in a morose train wreck sort of way. Or even that David Rodriguez goof!

 

The Klitschko brothers are running out of their opponents.

 

Seth Mitchell will be KOing Ibragimov in Dec....a fight with Mayhem could be interesting, although I'd rather see Vitali vs Tony Thomspson and and Wlad vs Mitchell.
