You can see a trailer to the film here: http://www.joefrazierfilm.com/trailerindex.php?page=13 The film is having its New York premiere on Nov 8 at 6.30...there is a Facebook page here. Holy ****!! Smokin Joe is finally getting some respsect, this has been a long time coming. There's about 1500 Ali documetary's finally Frazier gets one.
For Smokin Joe, this has been long overdue. one of my all time favorites. God bless him and thankyou for doing this documentary. I wish I was in NY.
I just watched the trailer of the Joe Frazier film and my eyes moisted up. Frazier was one of my alltime hero's in the ring for sure. A real man with no B.S. I first saw Joe lose to Buster Mathis in the 1964 Olympics trials in the Worlds Fair site, Flushing NY. I next saw him train at the Concord Hotel,in Sullivan's County NY,we two were alone 4 or 5 feet apart, and Joe was taping his hands, and waiting for Yank Durham and his sparring partners. I was too nervous to say something to Joe. Next time I saw Frazier was at the FOTC MSG, in 1971. What a night, what a fight, what a fighter was Joe Frazier, to me. Good Luck Joe on your movie. You deserve it...
A documentary as much about Joe Frazier as it is about Philla and its youth (It seems). I like that. Looks interesting.
That was amazing. One of my favorite fighters ever. I can't get to New York but if there's a DVD/blu-ray release let us know. I GOTTA see this.
Good to see this. Frazier is probably my all-time favorite fighter. Can't wait to see it. Looks really well done.
Wow, that looks extremely well-done. I'm in NYC. Not sure if I'll be able to make it, but where's the screening? Any chance to shake the legend's hand afterwards?
