Firstly, why would he not be near a battlefield? Ali was a ****ing ******, he didn't even graduate from high school. He graduated 360th out of 390 at a public school in Kentucky. His only option was to be near a battlefield, because firstly the man was a complete moron, second he was punchy. What kind of responsibilites do you give to a man that dumb? You do not put him into logistics as he does not have the brain power to manage inventories, or money. You cannot put him in charge of missile systems as it involves mathematical computations, and finishing 360th out of 390 gives me the general idea that he wasn't a great math student. Lastly, you do not put him in a mechanical, or technical position as once again the man was a ******. That leaves him with infantry, so yes he would of been seeing battlefields most likely.
