They're technically only separated by 3 pounds (and had some overlap in their careers and campaigned at the same weights for quite some time) - but Donaire is a big bantamweight who happened to be able to effectively cut to 112 and 115 for a time, and Narvaez was a small flyweight who quite astoundingly happened to move up and still be successful at 115 in spite of his stature.. You can oversimplify it as being a 3 pound difference but talking about sheer size and body density it's really quite a lot more than that. Not quite to the level of exaggerated absurdity of Klitschko-Calderon...but still a pretty ****ed up size difference, especially when you throw in the bigger guy is primed the **** out and the smaller guy is a good bit past his own prime.
i don't know if donaire is really a big bantam but one thing i know is that he is tall. surprisingly, even montiel was the bigger guy during the night of their fight. also in one of his fight at superfly with concepcion, he was getting bullied by the bigger concepcion who purposely came in over the weight. if donaire is as big as people are claiming him to be, he would not get bullied by concepcion who arce has fought physically and even stopped. narvaez is a short man but is quite stocky and looks like he have a long arm. he has quite a good chopping right and mixes them up to the body which could trouble donaire. of course all advantages are for nonito on this one but a guy who was never beaten before and had beaten taller guys than himself could not be taken for granted.
