dude. it's a loaded question. you know it. i know it. that's why you're resorting to pathtic insults.

why not top 10 wins? why not overall better resume? why specify 168? with each narrowing of the criteria you are loading the question specifically in the favour of one option. that is the very definition of loading a question.

if you want to keep on debating your question...don't let me stop you. i've made what i think clear & all you can do is accuse me of having "baggage" or "bias"...which is ironic because that is exactly what you are displaying.

So Jean Pascal is a very good fighter in terms of ability, but his ability must have completely deserted him in his supermiddleweight fights purely because he didn't have many of them.

    Quality logic :nut

 Exactly what I said earlier: any question which is not skewed in favour of your favourite fighter is therefore in your small, confused mind a "loaded question".

Let me try and help you (again):

    - if the question was top 10 wins, the answer would be obvious, because Joe's had many more fights there and so has a much deeper resume

    - if the question included all weights, the answer would be obvious, because Froch has only ever fought at one weight

Thus, what's the interest in asking a question which has a very obvious answer? Why have a poll then? What sort of non-event discussion would that create?

Froch has had a few top-quality wins at 168, as has Calzaghe. Why not invite people to state which set they prefer, and debate a debatable issue?! :nut

You have lost this one, big time. You've let your petty dislike for me pin you into a corner over a rash and unjustifiable comment, and now you're wriggling like a worm on a hook determined to not concede a thing.

 ****-weak stuff, and very transparent. Next time, think things out a little more clearly before jumping in with both feet because of your petty bias then getting embarrassed. You called it wrong. Get over it.

Deserted him against Froch?! :admin:lol: You evidently haven't even seen the fight. Christ man, you're really letting yourself down these days. Some truly terrible comments of late.

None that will match saying Calzaghe-Brewer was better than ANY win on Froch's resume though. :yikes

I hope next time you log in you come armed with some decent arguments, you've been far too easy this last day or two. Charles Brewer...:rofl

so the question isn't skewed in any way whatsoever? is that what you are saying? ok. let's look at your justification for the question:

oh right. so you skewed the question...& created a question to "encourage debate"? when pretty much ANY other question wouldn't have been a debate whatsoever? riiight.

i'm confused. you claim that you didn't skew the question...then you admit to skewing the question...in fact..all you appear to be arguing is your motivation...which i couldn't give a flying **** about. then you insult me. even tho i haven't insulted you.

you are a strange man poppers...a strange man.

And you are a pretty feeble-minded one. And biased too. Extremely.

Carl Froch is a successful supermiddleweight.

Joe Calzaghe was a successful supermiddleweight.

Both had some very good wins at this weight, the weight where they have both spent the vast majority of their careers.

Why not compare the best wins they ever achieved? And make it the same number of wins, since one guy was a champion there for a decade and the other only a couple of years. Effectively, who hit the highest heights and had the best nights at their best weight?

Set an opening post and a poll completely free of any opinion whatsoever, present facts, invite comment.

If you genuinely think this is "loaded", you're a moron. Plain and simple. There can be no other explanation. :good

    Can you read? :rofl

You made a rash and unjustifiable statement, and I have been thoroughly disproving it and exposing it for the petty and ill-informed comment it was.

Let me ask you this, you silly silly person, if someone other than myself created a thread called:

"Better Top 3 Wins at WW: Duran or Trinidad?"

Would you be on here saying "This is a loaded question", or would you merely answer the question seeing as both guys did have quality wins at WW?! :nut

Admit it - you dragged baggage about Calzaghe and about me as a poster into your first post on this thread. It's blindingly obvious.

Popkins has a hard time living with the fact that Calzaghe beat Hopkins :smoke.
Now in answer to the question with the fights listed. It would be Calzaghe.

    - Jean Pascal - No notable SMW wins
    - Glen Johnson - No notable SMW wins and was 0-5 in his last 5 world title fights
    - Andre Dirrell - Then no notable SMW wins. Dirrells only win of note was a DQ over a former MW when out cold
    - Jermain Taylor - Was 1-2 in his last 3 fights
    - Arthur Abraham - coming off a loss and unable to compete at SMW
None of these fighters have ever won a world title at SMW

At SMW Kessler, Lacy, Eubank, Reid and Mitchell all have far better SMW resumes than any of the fighters listed for Froch and had all been world champs at the weight and proven.

    - Mikkel Kessler - WBA/WBC champ on a run of 5 world title fights
    - Jeff Lacy - IBF champ and on a run of 5 world title fights
    - Chris Eubank - was 13-2-2 in SMW world title fights and with a very good resume
    - Robin Reid - former WBC champ who looked unlucky years later against Ottke and beat undefeated B Magee now WBA INT champ
    - Byron Mitchell - former 2 time WBA champ

    Very clearly Calzaghe

instead of trinidad & duran at & 3 wins at welter...lets make it buster douglas & wlad & 1 win at hw.

i said i thought it was a loaded question & explained why.

despite that i also gave my thoughts in response to the question & my thoughts on the 2 fighters in general. which should actually sate you if you required me to stay on topic.

you have decided to make this into a big deal...insulting me constantly...cos that makes you clever...

& your sole argument appears to be "it is not a loaded question...it is a question in which i have skewed the specifics to ensure a closer outcome."

which btw...is actually pretty much the definition of a loaded question.

you're tying yourself up in knots & claiming that you're dishing out a "schooling".:lol::lol::lol:

Douglas and Wlad wouldn't be a loaded question either! :patsch

I really think you're the most bizarre mind I've encountered on here in quite some time, you seem to have no concept of logic at all.

If the question set is "who has the best win at hw, Douglas or Wlad?", then the answer is going to be Douglas.

What is loaded about that? He does have a better win than any on Wlad's res. That is absolutely true and fair.

    Where's the problem?! :nut

If you asked a different question, say "who has the better hw res between Buster and Wlad?", this is also a fair question considering Wlad and BD both spent their entire careers at hw, and this time the answer would of course be Wladimir.

I have NO IDEA what your problem is with all this!!!!!!:lol:

 Skewed from what?! There is not one unitary existing question about Calzaghe and Froch from which all other questions must be twisted from.

Again - your mind is bizarre!!

Froch is a SMW. Calzaghe was a SMW. Both achieved some quality wins at SMW. Who has the best set of top wins at SMW?

Only a very, very strange mind could think there is anything "loaded" or "skewed" about this.
