    I hope you are not saying Benitez, because I won my alphabet crap aged 14. ;)

    Benitez and Cervantes were both excellent, but great? That is stretching the boundaries of what should be a very special word in the sport...

    Benitez was the rightful lightwelter champion at just 17 I believe?

    I don't know of anyone beating that.

    Altho langford beat gans and barbados joe at about 17.

    2 international hall of famers. Benitez being one of the greatest welterweight champions of all time....by some writers in 88.
    i would call benitez a great. cervantes......you could make an argument for one of the best natural light welters of the last 50 years.

    No B, Canzoneri was certainly great, but he won the 126lb title in 1927, when Tony was 19...Not my guy...
