For making coffee. It's called Chemex.

I didn't hear if Hopkins was the one who turned down a fight in Canada with Pascal on the undercard. I figured a show like that would again be too expensive for HBO, especially since Interbox would realize Pascal is the only draw there.

On Top Rank not comping tickets: surely you jest. Do Pacquiao-Clottey and Pacquiao-Margarito ring a bell?

It's one thing to comp some tickets and turn a profit. It's another to comp more tickets than you sell. I read Hopkins didn't want to go to Canads again on Max Boxing.

I'd need to hear it from someone besides Steve Kim. Hopkins wouldn't shut up about going back to Canada during the aftermath of the Pascal rematch, and no one ever cited that as a reason for the fight not taking place there when the venue discussions were actually going on.

I was looking forward to going to this fight. Home Depot Center is a great place to watch a card, easier to get to than Staples (from OC anyway) and Nonito is one of my favorites. I actually met Nonito at Home Depot after the Ward/Abraham fight.

This pisses me off. I'm glad I didn't buy the Hopkins/Dawson fiasco and will think twice before buying the next GBP card.

De La Hoya always spouts off about loving SoCal and wanting to grow the sport. Now he does some punk **** like this. I've lost a bit of respect for him.

For blocking a good fight from happening in their backyard. Also Donaire is from CA.

I assure you my brother, The Mexican and Chicano populations (boxing's biggest consumer in CA) aren't boycotting ****...

If Pinoys want to, that's on them, they are a small minority it So Cal, and they already hate GBP because Arum told them too. :deal

De La Hoya is as big a lying, greedy, corrupt scumbag of a promoter there is. Nobody should be fooled by his claims that he cares about the fans and growing the sport. This is the guy who said his dream was to become boxing's first billionaire. That's what he's in it for, and why he wants a UFC-type monopoly.
