I think it should be noted the title of the thread makes no mention of a world or pro title.

Which to me indicates an Olympian...

Terrible pun b. It was of course nipper I was referring to, the boy wonder.

Sam won the coloured middleweight title at a very young age I believe.

B,Aside from the fact Les Darcy won the Australian MW title on a foul against Jeff Smith in 1915, Darcy was 20 years of age at the time. My guy was much younger, and a World Champion...

    Abe Attell over George Dixon

Some sources say that Dixon lost his title in a 15-round decision to Abe Attell on October 28, 1901.

Henry, soon as i saw your name, I knew the game is over. Yes Abe Attell, was 17 years old when he won a FIFTEEN round decision from the great George Dixon for the featherweight title in 1901...:good

    That is incredible.

They're both great in my book but I'm honestly shocked that two people on this thread don't consider Benitez a great. I have him in my top fifty list.

Sad thing is,Benitez COULD have been a great one. He had as much natural ability as Sugar Ray Leonard. Pity his desire and self-discipline did n't match his talent.
