Yeah, I can see how bringing Winona Ryder into the discussion would be relevant. :patsch

i addressed the points you raised. then i attempted a little humourous belittlement at the end. you just said something a bit random.

but of course people on this forum don't know the difference...between anything apparently. :nut

Why you felt the need to attempt to belittle me in the first place is somewhat puzzling.

Considering he can still compete today is probably a reason. That, and he would've gotten a title had Beyer not screwed him out of one.

He was a great slapper, and that was part of his entertainment value. And everyone is a no hoper in the ring with Calzaghe :good

Popkins why are you now going on about pointless things? You asked a question and below is an answer

Theres some real fools on here who are posting, but dont know the fighters or what the fighters achieved etc.
Popkins has a hard time living with the fact that Calzaghe beat Hopkins :smoke.

Now in answer to the question with the fights listed. It would be Calzaghe.

    - Jean Pascal - No notable SMW wins
    - Glen Johnson - No notable SMW wins and was 0-5 in his last 5 world title fights
    - Andre Dirrell - Then no notable SMW wins. Dirrells only win of note was a DQ over a former MW when out cold
    - Jermain Taylor - Was 1-2 in his last 3 fights
    - Arthur Abraham - coming off a loss and unable to compete at SMW
None of these fighters have ever won a world title at SMW

At SMW Kessler, Lacy, Eubank, Reid and Mitchell all have far better SMW resumes than any of the fighters listed for Froch and had all been world champs at the weight and proven.

    - Mikkel Kessler - WBA/WBC champ on a winning run of 5 SMW world title fights
    - Jeff Lacy - IBF champ and on a winning run of 5 SMW world title fights
    - Chris Eubank - was 13-2-2 in SMW world title fights and with a very good resume
    - Robin Reid - former WBC champ who looked unlucky years later against Ottke and beat undefeated B Magee now WBA INT champ
    - Byron Mitchell - former 2 time WBA SMW champ

    Very clearly Calzaghe

Just look at B Mitchell alone
    2 time WBA SMW champ
    He beat
    - #1 Liles linear champ (something Ward is praised for doing) by KO. Liles was on a winning run of 8 world title fights with a win over M Nunn
    - drew with future 2 weight champ Girard
    - beat Siaca twice who went on to become WBA SMW champ who beat Mundine
    - beat former MW champ JC Green who beat a prime Joppy before Joppy was beaten by Trinidad or Hopkins.

Mitchell only lost a debateable SD to Ottke and was only ever beaten clearly once as a SMW by Calzaghe

Liles was done by the time of the Jaffa Ballagou fight. Definately past prime by the time he lost to Mitchell, a fighter he still had no business losing to

 There are some extremely sandy vaginas on here, presumably due to the fact that the Iron-Resumed Cobra is handsomely beating the beloved Joe Calzaggers in the poll. Poor trolls. If only Joseph hadn't spent 9 years between 1997 and 2006 fighting a variety of the most feeble cowdung available to him.

How on earth can you two say Froch??? :patsch
I know some of you guys have a problem with the fact that Calzaghe beat Hopkins, but really. Do explain.

How far past prime was Eubank to you then?
Eubank had lost a close decision to Collins, that many thought he won, had a couple of tune ups and rematched Collins to a SD, had a couple of tune ups and lost clearly to underdog Calzaghe. After that loss Eubank went up to CW and challenged world champ Thompson losing a very close decision and then rematched Thompson losing on injury when ahead. Thats Thompson who years later past his best KOd D Haye.
Consider Eubank only had 2 losses to one fighter when he fought Calzaghe, the second by SD to a world champ and was 31 then went on to challenge a big CW flooring him etc, how past his prime do YOU think he was?
Remember Kessler is Wards big win and was the same age as Eubank here and had around the same amount of fights

Remember when you make silly comments about losses was G Johnson considered past his prime when years ago after losing to Hopkins he went 7-9-2 including the Hopkins loss

Calzaghe, easily. I mean, it's not even close no matter how you want to swing it. Froch beating Ward will narrow the gap though as regards to top 5 wins.
