In the ring you are as good as your opponent allows you to be.

Vitaliy made Lennox look out of shape.

I guess one would have to follow a certain pugilistic sport to know that.

it's amazing how most Klitschko fans can't even be bothered to watch the fight when it's posted on a link they're commenting on. Course then they'd have to watch their hero get the crapped kicked out of him again and again..so I guess that explains it.

Lewis shouldn't have been out of shape and he probably trained hard, it's just that age caught up with him. Same thing happened to the Brown Bomber when he got in the ring with Marciano, or when Ali fought Holmes. Fighters often fight past their best before date.

What age? Lewis was 37. Vitali came back at 37 after almost 4 year layoff and averaged over 70 punches per round against Peter.

he was in the worst shape of any fight in his career...and if you had followed him and watched him through his career, it was obvious just looking at him physically

that makes about as much sense as saying mike tyson was champion at age 20 and it took vitali until he was 30....he must suck....
    everyone is different at 37
everyone is different at age 20
because one did it, doesnt mean its easy or anyone could do it

Vitali was kickboxing champ at the age of 20. Good athletes don't age overnight.

That besides the point. Lewis said he was in great shape, his trainer said he was in great shape, the odds were still 5 to 1 going into the fight. He wasn't out of shape before the fight and of course excuses had to be found after the fight.

of course he would say that, was he supposed to say he's in the worst shape of his career and eating donuts?

lewis was old, fat and in the worst shape of his career, get over it, your boyfriend lost to him

Now contrast that performance with this one, it's night and day. This was the Lewis Bowe was scared to fight.

Everyone says Tyson was shot vs Lewis and he was 36. (He was actually younger than Lewis)

Maybe if Vitali hadnt retired for almost 4 years,he'd have been finished by 37 too.

Ali,Louis,Dempsey and countless others were all considered washed up long before their 37th birthday. Jeesh, People said Morales was washed up in his 20s.

Lewis wasnt motivated to go on. He had been unified champion, beaten everyone he fought. He had a much harder career than Vitali had, with better opposition.

Millions in the bank, no wonder he wasnt coming in,in shape.

You know who else said they were in great shape before fighting Vitali?
    Chris Arreola.

Why Shannon Briggs was supposedly in the 240's 2 weeks before his fight. Riggghhhhttt?

you make it sound like Lewis lost the fight. Those who bet on Lewis at 5 to 1, to win the fight won their bet. Those who bet on Vitali to bet Lewis, lost their bet. We obviously know which camp you were in.
