Such a stark contrast with the other La Bomba :yep (super middleweight slugger Edwin Rodriguez, who got a gift shutout decision over Will Rosinsky on ShoBox last night)

    Round 4

Gonzalez is jabbing and hooking while sliding his feet back. Rivera keeps bravely stepping in, barely ducking back out of the way of some of the right hooks but getting clipped with many - often upside the back of the head and nape of the neck. Rivera isn't laying a hand on the tiny Puerto Rican. Gonzalez is using some very expert ring movement for someone in his 7th pro start. Gonzalez catches Rivera's attempts to charge in with a siege machine made of forearms wrapped around his head, and pushes him off back into jabbing and hooking range. Uppercuts by Rivera leaning forward, and Gonzalez answers back with faster and more accurate left and right uppercuts backing up.

    40-35 Gonzalez

    Round 5

Gonzalez circles, holds Rivera by the lower arms and then pushes him off to flurry. Nice stiff right jab by Gonzalez circling rapidly to his right. Gonzalez is just running short laps around Rivera. Nice right upper-hook by Gonzalez. Another, doubled. Gonzalez is staying right in the pocket deftly ducking and slipping shots and landing his own short counters before slipping out and getting back into close mid-range orbit. Rivera tries to bull his way in, ramming his head against Gonzalez's chest to drive him back. Clinch. Rivera takes advantage of the proximity to get in a chopping right uppercut to the chest/chin. Another right uppercut to the body by Rivera. Not much torque on any of Rivera's shots, he's too close to the guy and Gonzalez is too slippery and knows exactly when to tie up. Rivera lands a good right hand that shakes Gonzalez up a little, and his response is to throw a HUGE right hook!

    50-44 Gonzalez

He has a wonderful boxing brain, which should be put in a jar and preserved when he dies...

    BUT...

his style was based on use of his legs, which are shot. His time at the top is done, IMO.

Richie Woodhall said that "Narvaez has never fought outside of Argentina"...I wanted to kick him for the fact he's not done any real research...then again the entire Boxnation team seem to know little about Omar.

    Round 6

Rivera pushes out his left jab, hunting. Gonzalez nimbly circles away from the corner before getting backed into it. Flurry by Gonzalez. Rivera is diving in, letting his head slam into Gonzalez's chest while reaching out to whack the body. Hard left hand leads by Gonzalez while circling right. Tie up and push off by La Bomba. Rivera is chasing with hard overhand rights, falling just short as Gonzalez veers off. Hard left hook to the body by Rivera. Gonzalez can't get any breathing room. He is forced to hold again. Gonzalez darts in feinting with a right jab and then glides back outside once Rivera is startled into halting. Soft flurry by Gonzalez. Rivera reaches out to grab but can't get a firm hold. Gonzalez throws a lead right hook, cuffing the top of Rivera's head as the Mexican ducks. Hard left uppercut and then a straight left by Gonzalez, delivered with barely any time between. Just automatic transition. Gonzalez is dancing around and looking to line up another straight left lead. Chilli Rivera keeps hunting and looking for a big KO shot but doesn't find it.

    60-53 Gonzalez
