It wasn't a war. Linares was dominant the entire fight until he got stupid in the 11th round and THEN decided to go to war. Terrible gameplan by Linares to do that when all he had to do was coast the last two rounds and he would've won a decision.

Yeah great fight and those cuts did not appear magically nor where they headbutts...I would like to see Morales Vs Linares at 140 that would be a nice farewell for Morales.

Linares, for all of his flaws, has the heart of a f'n lion. His face was a mess and he never stopped trying to send damage DeMarco's way. I'd love to see them do it again.

I like DeMarco and I feel like he stayed to the gameplan and walked Linares down and knocked him the **** out!

From round 9 on it was a war, round 6 or 7 was pretty close as well...in fact if you just watch from round 6 it's one of the most entertaining fights this year...the opening 5 rounds were rather 1 sided...which in a way adds to how good the fight was. You had Linares amazing skills and hand speed early on...then you had DeMarco needing a KO and really going for it...

Would have liked the ref to give Linares a little bit more time when he was in trouble there. He wasn't in trouble but not out on his feet. It would've probably gotten stopped anyway, but I think fighters should have that opportunity to prove that chance.

During the whole fight I was thinking how talented this kid appeared to be...Yet he continued to take BIG SHOTS versus a fighter who is not known for his accuracy. And throughout the whole fight Demarco had no problems finding Linares. Linares will eventually learn that DEFENSE, is just as important as Offense.

Linares got cut because DeMarco was landing his punches on his face. Luck had nothing to do with it.

Stoppage was not premature.. Linares was allowed enough time considering how bad his cut was and i reckon if he was able to avoid the beatdown he received in the 11th then the fight would have gone the distance with him winning.. He gave the ref no option to stop it in the end and fair play to DeMarco for capitalising.

Linares was a true warrior.. He could have just held on until the end of the 11th round and box in the 12th and win by a decision.. But still he chose to stand in the face of DeMarco and exchange blows with him..
