totally ****ed up! One good card (117-111 Mosquera) and then inexplicably two cards that are not only off, but identical. Even if just one judge had 114-114 and it was a MD win for Mosquera, it would have been puzzling how the one judge had it that close. The fact that TWO of them did...bizarre coincidence. :!: Incidentally, that 117-111 score was - as Goldilocks would say, "Juuuuuuust right".
I haven't seen the fight but it I seems that I got away clean, and Mosquera didn't (I had Zamora by SD)
Mosquera getting the Mijares treatment? DeGale is also in that category, clearly (but closely) beat Groves and without a doubt Wilczewski, and got a LMD and a WMD. It's not even corruption, it's pure inability of the judges part to recognize sweet science when they see one. Anyways... another busy weekend, not bad actually.
Well I dunno if it counts or not but on the Mosquera undercard Miguel Acosta was beaten by Richard Abril by a UD. Haven't seen the fight so have no idea how it went down. Good win for Abril though.
I dont think you can call the Groves win a robbery tbh. I had DeGale winning with 1 point as he did a little more in the 12th round. But Groves definitely did the better work in that fight. If only Degale threw more punches than he does he'd do alot better in his fights. But it IS true that not alot of the brits likes him. Kinda sad as he gave them a freaking medal in the olympics.
Didn't want to open the Groves/DeFail debate, just threw his name out as a difficult guy to score and usually getting **** treatment for not being so obvious with his work. Didn't call it a robbery, but it was like Marquez-Pacquiao II, a close but clear outcome with DeGale doing the clean effective punching in a minimum of 7, but rather 8 rounds. Groves had the success of his own and there were close ones too, 7-5 for Chunky is cool, had him ahead 8-4. But to score it for Groves - nah man, not that fight that I watched. Anyways... another motorsport death today... terrible... R.I.P. Marco Simoncelli!
Didn't watched motorsport since Eurosport stopped airing it. Rossi and Stoner were fighting for the championship. Dajiro Kato was the last1 I saw in a deadly accident. Saw Marco Simoncelli accidend on youtube, didn't expect to see his helmet coming off. Who was the unfortunately man hit him and has to live the rest of his life with that memory ?
Heard about the Simoncelli accident on the radio... damn. RIP man! Can you recieve Eurosport in Canada? You are Canadian right?! :think
