He's doing his 2 year disappearing act routine. It's a shame he never got one last world title shot at cruiserweight as he's too old to comeback now.

I recall reading on the British forum a couple of months back that a British title fight between Hide and Robert Norton was going to purse bids but as Norton just lost his title last night I guess that won't be happening. Herbie did have a good run going and I can't understand why he never got the shot at the title even though he was WBC's #1 contender for what seemed like aeons. Now I think he could still make an impact domestically as the division is so poor but I can't see him getting anywhere on the world stage...
I remember Hide coming up, when I first got into boxing around the time of the Benn/Eubanks/Watson days. He was entertaining as hell. A lot more entertaining than that other British HW character Harrisson.
