Completely shot Marquez looking fat and bloated in latest pics.

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by GlassJawsExist, Oct 23, 2011.

  1. Look at this photo. It's clear as day that Marquez is shot and out of shape. He has a blobby bulbous belly and more spare tyres than Kwik Fit.:rofl:patsch

This fight is another Pacquiao farce. An utter sham. It should be at 140lbs tops. :patsch:verysad:barf

Isnt the fight almost a month away?

All these "look how bad/good marquez looks" threads are getting old.

Hes gonna look basically the same way he looked against Katsidis. End of..

He simply can't fight at this weight, the Mayweather fight proved this. He's really trying his best and working hard to give himself a chance and if you look at his arms you can tell the hard work he's put in but it's just a bridge too far. @140 he had a chance but not at 144.

i don't understand the need for jmm to bulk-up. it's not like the floyd fight where floyd would have a sizeable size advantage over him. pac would be 148 max for this fight so him rehydrating to his usual 145 pounds when fighting at LW would be the better chance, IMO.

    :thumbsup

Pac won't have a size advantage, maybe two pounds on Marquez, though I have a funny feeling he'll be even lighter for speed.

Marquez should weigh in at around 138, and re-hydrate to where he's comftorble, not adding any excess muscle that will just slow him down.

EHHHHHHH, Why should he weigh in at 138 and then rehydrate???

Why not just weigh in at 143/44 and not have to re-hydrate?

JMM can weigh whtever he wants it makes no difference here, Pac is hitting the ring about the same weight as their last fight,

This. It's Marquez own fault if he bloats himself. He should keep his weight low and conserve his speed.

    Nope!

Take it from someone who knows a thing or two about Marquez' strenghths and weaknesses.
.......He wont beat Pacquiao by coming in light.

Puga has said Marquez should weight what he normally weighs, then he offers the Katsidis fight for example, 145 lbs.:lol::lol:.......only things is 145 lbs is'nt Marquez normal walk in the ring weight.

Marquez has usually stepped into the ring between 139 and 142 lbs.
The Katisidis fight was the only fight he came in as high as 145 lbs and thats only because Marquez knew the Pac fight was near and he'd have to bulk up for that.

Marquez is'nt going to beat Pacquiao by attempting to match his speed or anywhere close.

Timing and strenghth will win the fight. Marquez knows it, Nacho knows it, and anyone with a brain about boxing would know it.

The important thing is to hold off Pacquiao's initial thrusts of speed and punching power, and Marquez can only do that by being physically strong enough that his body can absorb Pacquiao's own strenghth and power.

Marquez is doing the right thing. The Marquez that faced Mayweather has a chance against Pacquiao, only differnce now to the Mayweather fight is Marquez has gotten 2 years older.
