Sounds good to me, Garcia seems like the type of trainer that instills confidence into his fighters. Maybe we'll see the return of the old Kelly.

Maybe that will be a good thing I was for Pavlik staying with Lowe though. Lowe did speak out of turn a couple times and said things like he thinks Pavlik is finished as a boxer. Pavlik say he was a little pissed off about Lowe having a big mouth in an interview a while back.

I see fights against 2 absolute bums, then a cash out loss against against a premiere fighter.

Face it. Whatever Kelly had, for a short period, is all gone now.

That what I've been saying for 3 years, change of trainers, change of scenery or no change will come - that amount of smack I got for it from Pavlickers such as Boo, Hermit etc...

It was always the proper call. Pavlik is still young, and with motivation and a better trainer he can pick up a belt at whatever weight he competes, unless the champ is a slickster. Jack must feel terrible if not betrayed, but in reality he brought Pavlik only so far about 5 years ago, coaching limitations became very evident in the Hopkins and Maravilla fights.

So... good luck Kelly, you finally made the right choice. Now go and put the hard work behind it! :deal

Contradicting infos on the scene. Garcia says Pavlik walked by him and didn't recognize him while Dunkin claims he wants Robert for Kelly. What is sure according to the article, is Pavlik working with former BALCO head Victor Conte.

    NOT A GOOD IDEA!

Thought about this a little more this morning and I think this really shows Pavlik is going to make a strong come back.

Moving the family to California really shows that getting to the top again is a top priority . He could have just stayed in Youngstown and done ok with his natural ability.

Can't wait to see him fight under a new trainer it will be interesting.

James Kirkland should have gone with Garcia and Kelly with ronnie shields.

Interesting, its about time. I hope he digs in and puts in the work, if he does, there is no doubt this guy can be in some exciting fights still. When he was hungry, he was a beast. Hopefully, a change of scenery and trainer will get him hungry again. Its not like he doesn't have the rest of his life to live in Youngstown after his career ends.
