That's great, except the Johnson fight happened.. when?! Right, in the S6 semis. It's easily arguable as a great indicator of "Bute fighting S6 opposition" as opposed to hmm Tatevosyan who's history, basically.

I mentioned Miranda / Ward, but could have brought up the fact Bika's right hands landed a lot more against him recently, in a S6 equivalent fight, than against Bute who won a wide UD years before that.

Nobody is giving **** to Kessler, who after ignoring Interbox's interest for a fight is fighting the guy who got KTFO by Andrade in an eliminator to Bute's title over 3 years ago.

LOL that's right I forgot all about that... from here on Bute is fighting Super Six leftovers, all past it because of the hardest, most glorious tournament of boxing history. Bute is feasting on wounded warriors.

 

Bute can never be called the top SWM until he fights Ward, Froch or Kessler. He latest title fights have been against poor quality. Johnson will be the best guy he has ever fought and Johnson is B- at best.

Bute may have the skills but he has never shown a lot of heart.

I've just defended Calzaghe on this one. We have to give him some credit for what he did to Lacy. If Calzaghe would have listened to everyone, he would have melt in the ring that night. I will never compare Froch to Lacy, the styles are not even close. What I'm saying is that Lacy had some value back then and was hyped in the boxing world.

 

Froch could have fought Bute in 2007 in a IBF eliminator but turned it down and Bika ended up fighting for it. Instead Froch decided to fight Bute's leftovers in Tatevosyan. Interestingly enough Pirog had already beat Tatevosyan before either in 2006 in only his 4th pro fight!

What a joke you are. Ward fought in the pocket or inside exchanging with Bika most the fight. Bute comfortably outboxed him the entire night and had a much easier time with Bika than Ward or Calzaghe.

 

I'm not a hater and was merely pointing out your own logic to you. You were saying because X fighter landed X punches on Y fighter then blah blah blah so I used Tatevosyan for a bit of irony, that's all.

We will see what Bute's made of when he gets in there with someone who doesn't get knocked out, who's gonna keep asking the questions of his stamina, his ability to be a man in the ring once you get beyond his Boxing skills, cause last time he got in the ring with a guy who was able to ask questions of his ability to be a man in the ring(Andrade), he damn near capitulated.

I'm not convinced there is enough of a fighter behind the skills if dragged into a dog fight. I see a mental weakness in Bute, like he's the kind of guy who's just not a fighter at heart
