If there were no former Soviet HW's the division would be competitive and the American HW's would be regarded quite highly. Most of these guys were regarded highly until they got destroyed by a Klychko.

Chambers - Would have a belt and be considered a Walcott/Charles ATG defensive genius.
Arreola - Merchant said he was best US HW since Bowe, he's exciting, would be well liked and thought of in even higher regard due to that.
Thompson - Is a good HW, puncher, and a lefty what's not to llike.
Brewster- puncher, with a chin, exciting, a destroyer that matched up h2h with Foreman, Lyle, Shavers in fantasy fights
Brock - competent all around boxer with some pop
Byrd - would never have fought Lewis and only have Ike loss, would be regarded as a ATG
JCC - Would have a belt and be the most successful Cuban pro ever.
Haye - would be regarded as a ATG no doubt
Johnson - defensive wizard, HW with a shoulder roll, great jab but no power
Solis - would still be winning in spite of conditioning
Peter - was still being called the next Tyson through 2007 Maskaev fight

**** out of here. Undisputed champ? That right there shows how bad the heavyweight division, and the K brothers comp is. You can only fight who is in front of you so go figure.

Thompson, Gomez, Solis, Haye would be Chambers biggest rivals imo. They'd all be belt holders at one point and all considered very good HW's.

    What a ****ing stupid thread...

This is like saying what would the 80's be like if Tyson and Holmes weren't around?

Who cares?, it's all just bull**** and speculation.

    Chambers- Decent skills.

    Arreola- Great chin, average skills.

Brewster- Too inconsistent. Beats Wlad, loses to Liakhovich.

    Thompson- ****ing trash

    Brock: One hit wonder

Byrd- Respected fighter with heart, just not a true heavy. Over achieved at heavy. Loved him as a fighter.

    JCC- Irrelevant

    Haye- Irrelevant

    Johnson- Who?

    Solis- Who?

    Peter- Good win for Wlad.

Good question, truth is they would no question put more heart into it, maybe becoming great boxers....

But to me Peters was robbed of the ATG status, his chin was pure steel, incredible power, an good enough boxer, in time he would of become a better boxer.....He no question would broke the top 15. The haters will say NO, but i will tell you he walked down every fighter he faced, he needed some work on his boxing, but after he got beat by wlad, he just stopped growing as a fighter.

Chambers-Peter and Chambers-Brock would have been title fights hyped up to mega fight levels. HW division would be considered the most competitive and one of the best ever.

No way. The great fighters we know who they are. Those guys are good fighters, but had there been no Klitchkos or Adamek they still lose to other guys. Those guys would never be great. I do wonder how Evander Holyfield of 1990 who fought Dokes would do moving up into the heavyweight division in 2005 or so.. Or Tyson of 1986 in 2005 also.
