Narvaez would've gone the distance with a 130 lb Mayweather

Styles makes fights. Last night was a match between 2 counterpunchers and only one of them was trying to make a fight. If Narvaez had fought a 130 lb Mayweather, Mayweather would've had a tough time trying to KO Narvaez, because Narvaez knows how to block and move.

FLoyd was an aggressive boxer puncher in his youth. Not really a wait and see counter puncher.

 

Floyd could have stopped him or at least hurt him more than Donaire. He knows how to open you up

To beat a Narvaez type, you have to be a Pacquaio type who is willing to take a shot and crowd him, and work the body early. Mayweather is not that type of fighter. He would've landed some body jabs and the occasional cross like Nonito but otherwise, same result, Mayweather by lopsided UD.

 

mayweather was KO'ing everyone back at 130, people far better than Narvaez, he was a far different fighter than he is today at 130. he often traded and swarmed

 

Narvaez is too way too small. Mayweather wouldn't have potshotted him from the outside. He would've been agressive, thrown punches in combination, and worked Narvaez's body. The 130 pound Mayweather was lightyears ahead of Nonito Donaire.

Floyd would have walked him down and fought him in the clinch while mixing punches to the body and head. He would have cut the ring off on him more and went to work on him.

Narvaez was doing very well with his jab, but Floyd would have countered over it. I was actually looking for Donaire to do this yesterday, but he didn't

we talking about 130 pound Mayweather vs a 5'3 fighter coming up in weight and he has a speed, reach, power and everything else advantage.

Judah is almost as tall as Floyd, shorter reach though, but he weighed more than Floyd on fight night.
He also was faster and more powerful

 

Good analysis bbchump but i think at 130 Floyd was much less complete than he is at 147. Floyd may come in with the flurries but Narvaez would've escaped out the side the same way he did with Nonito.
