I dont go against aussies much, so im picking Green.

Yeah i think Jones looks good in spots on the weekend, but it was against Trinidad, a welterweight/ light middle, a guy almost 3 years out of the ring.

Yes Roys skills are great, better than Greenies, but he is suspect with his chin now. Green would take it too Roy and make it a 50/50 fight.

Im not saying Green would beat a prime Roy, or even get close, but the Roy 2008, Green wins by KO.

 

Come on them MSTR, read my post and slam it. But i wont be changing my mind.

Roy may have been a P4P KING!!!!! but he is 39 now and his last 3 wins were not that impressive.

 

Roy Jones UD. No way is Roy knocking out Green though, or even come close to it. Green is rock solid and will be more willing to mix it with Jones than Trinidad was.

 

Anybody the same size or bigger than Roy can beat him now, even someone as **** as Green. The knockout loss to Tarver has left Roy mentally fragile and his legs are gone completely, even when its just his gloves that are getting hit he starts to subconsciously panic, getting hazey-eyed and fatigued as he remembers his KO losses, that's why he showboats so much now, trying to convince himself and his opponent that he stiil has it and to stop the other guy from coming in. When Roy has energy and is boxing well he doesn't showboat, it's when he is tired that he does it which happens easily now because he is not comfortable in the ring. Roy needs to retire right now, the Trinidad fight convinced me he is 100% done.

Roy in his prime makes Green look like a guy who walked in off the street but these days it is 50/50 perhaps even leaning towards Green which makes me sad as an RJ fan, he just shouldn't be fighting, all he is now is a scared stationary target. When he moves even just walks now he plods along looking awkward, at middle and super middle he had incredible footwork, it's crazy to think it is the same guy.

Just a simple UD win for Roy. However, i dont like how Roy looked yesterday. He should still be able to see everything Green throws and keep away from it.

 

I disagree mate, Jones can't move out of the way of punches all he can do now is cover up and lean throwing arm punches, his reflexes and legs are shot, shots from a true light heavy banging away on his arms are gonna get to him, Roy is long gone.

 

God it would be good for Aussie boxing if the fight did happen!!

Jones UD. He looked good yesterday (ok the competition was limited) and with the extra 5 pounds back on i think he would be even better. Too much speed, accuracy and ring smarts for Danny. But Danny still has better than a punchers chance

 

I dont think he wanted to move away from Trinidad yesterday, it seemed like a plan to just walk Trinidad down maybe cause he respect his power.

However that being the plan, he has lost his legs and a notch or two off his reflexes but i think it is still enough to beat Danny.
