Middleweight champion Sergio Martinez says he wants to fight you. Junior-welterweight champion Timothy Bradley left his promoter, and turned down more than $1 million to fight Amir Khan, thinking he has a shot to be your next opponent.

"That's my promoter's problem. Whatever the TV stations do is up to them. My job is to prepare for fights, to get in shape and put on a good show. If Sergio Martinez can get to 147 pounds, why not? I really don't know anything about Bradley's style, but I'll fight him. OK? Have a nice day."

I don't see the problem. Pacquiao is a welterweight. He has no obligation to up in weight and has already gone up a bunch of weight classes. PAC never called out Martinez. If Martinez wants the fight, he'll have to do it on Pac's terms.

The golden rule, he who has the gold makes the rules.

Nothing wrong with the statement and should it happen and Pacquiao wins the quality of victory will be judged accordingly.

Nah Roach has said since that time that they'd be open to fighting Sergio at 150. Of course as soon as Martinez expressed a willingness to go that low, 147 once became the new demand. Quite reminiscent of Mosley in 2009.

If he beats Martinez at 147 he gets no credit from me, same if Floyd beat Sergio at 147, and they both would.

150 is bearable just about, though 154 is preferable.

I can't see it happening but if Floyd beat Sergio at 160 for the title then he'd go well ahead of Pacquaio for me.

BS he would. He wants nothing to do with them. Still that's only 4lbs from 160. Equivalent of Pac fighting him at 150.

His team also laughed off a Hopkins fight at 170. That's 12lbs from his last official fighting weight. Pac fighting him at 154 would be 10lbs from his fighting weight vs Marquez. Pac would also be giving up more in height and reach fighting Martinez, than Martinez would against Ward, Froch, Kessler, Bute, Hopkins.

I don't see your point OP.

Isn't Martinez the one calling out PBF and Pac? Isn't he the one that needs the earning power of Pac and PBF? Isn't he the one unwilling to go up a handful of pounds yet expect Pac and PBF to go up to him?

Martinez is an obvious billboard of hypocrisy. I emphasize "billboard" because he is selling something in order to get paid.

Would you give Pac credit for beating Sergio at 147?
