Good stuff. Opponent will probably be a gimme there to make Kell look good. Hopefully he impresses.

    Exactly.

Harsh to call his last two opponents 'nobodies' too...they were (on paper) decent tests for a prospect looking to break through to boxing at a world class level.

    Yeah, I get that.

I just feel like it's been forever waiting for him to step up to a solid opponent. Ndou was finally a step in the right direction, but then his last opponent and now this? I guess I'll have to wait and see who he picks, first.

We've been saying that about him for aaaaages. He's 26 with almost 25 fights in. Shouldn't he be more than just a prospect by now?

I mean a prospect in 'world champ' terms - that is his next step.

The last fella was in The Ring's top ten. Horse****, I know, but still...

Hopefully by spring he gets a bigger name opponent.

He's 25. Despite what you say the polish guy who he fought last was better then N'dou. How do you expect him to get a world class name within 6 weeks.

The point is he's finally doing it. He will have fought 3 times in 6 months and will have made his US debut. The level of his opponents has improved and he's getting huge exposure.

Stop complaining about the past. Brook's young, talented and making progress. There is no need to be gloomy and critical. Matchroom are handling him properly.

 That's the only thing a person can complain/be critical about. I'm hardly gonna' bash him for things he hasn't done yet, am I?

But point taken about him fighting 3 times in 6 months. This next fight is just Eddie pouncing on a good, quick opportunity to have him involved in a big US event. I guess I should wait and see who he fights after, then (something we've been saying for a long time).

The problem with Brook was that with ****** he won the Lonsdale outright against weak opponents. When he should have been fighting the Michael Jennnings' of this world. Then having won the belt outright only then did he finally meet Jennings then he stagnated with Bienias and Kotey when he should have been pushing on to the level he is at now.

When Matchroom signed him they essentially had to take him back a few fights to make sure he was ready to push on when in reality he should be ready for a shot at a belt now. They have to go through the motions the things that Allegedly, if he was promoting Brook properly, should have done already. Headline in Sheffield, fight in America, fight fringe world level opponents.

It takes a bit of patience but he will be looking for big things in 2012 now
