Like I said earlier, the bloke prepares himself unbelievably for combat. If any of you Union fans :yep watch tomorrow nights final, watch thorn at the break down and his cleaning out, he is a deadset mungrel of the highest order. He tip toes on breaking the rules alot with his rough shoulder barge tackics but he will do it non stop for 80mins.

 

So are the Titan fans, they do a poll for every position on who you would like to see in said positions. No one has seen him play and he won the poll easy just because Henry, Bird and Co were the other options

heard a good debate on the radio today on how nathan merritt has been overlooked in national duty and at origin level , im not a rabbitos fan but i do believe this bloke has done enough to earn a chance at rep footy

 

Was in the gym this morning early doors and had the pleasure of meeting Luke Lewis and Paul Gallen who were training there .... Ive always been a huge fan of Gallen so was an honour to shake his hand ... told him to take it easy on us english ! ...

 

Yeah reminiscent of Nathan Blacklock's situation. :think

 

Merritt is a decent enough defender on his day, but tends to get out jumped easily when faced with disarming cross field kicks.

I hope he is given first dibs at fullback next season, and if he can produce even 50% of what he did when he took over at the end of this season, then I'll be happy.

On another note, Mortimer to the scum for 2 seasons. Bet Parra are happy to have him off their books.

wat eva he is, he needs to prove it this yr, ive said it other sites- scott duraeu would have been a good buy(for sharks, titans, roosters and esp bulldogs) but he is wasting away in the super league

 

Titans were approached by him but said no thanks

 

still tho think he'd be better than a beau henry.. and many other halfs in the comp
