Shockingly featherfisted boxer who relies on 1-2s all night. He did prove his punching resistance and his heart when he got caught big by Walker but this surely was no Klit-killer material.
Yeah, his power is pretty bad. He´s "stoppage" of Derric Rossy was one of the most disgusting things I´ve seen in a boxing ring btw.. Hot girlfriend though..
Klitschko killer. :rofl I'd have him a prohibitive underdog against Povetkin & Fury, let alone Klitschko. Even Firtha could upset him. The lack of power is a problem mainly because of his style. He fights like a puncher but isn't one.
On the undercard of Nielsen - Holyfield [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnlfUG2vCYw&feature=related[/ame] Wasnt ringside btw. The prices was grossly expensive for such a fight I reckon.
To be honest, I can't stand feather-fisted HWs. They won't knock out anyone and in the process of outpointing, which is the only way the are successful, they are not half as entertaining as a welter or a bantamweight. I hope he gets upset soon. Btw. I was ringside for a Pulev fight a year ago on the Huck - Lebedev undercard. Can't remember who he fought (too lazy too look up) but he sure didn't look like stopping that dude, either.
Paolo Vidoz. Should have stopped him too, yes. Vidoz is far past prime. He stopped two bums legimately, and Skelton(With a bodyshot, but Skelton didnt look like he wanted to be there either)
Yeah, that's the one. Gawd, **** off with that european style at HW if you don't have some seriously heavy hands because it's unbearable to watch a stiff Bulgarian one-two a cherry-picked bum to death for 12 rounds.
If it had happened in England, the fight would have been stopped. You have to admit he showed good signs as well. His chin, his conditioning and ability to overcome bad moments. I guess the problem is that Pulev turned pro too late. His long career in amateurs has influenced his style deeply. You do not need so much power when you fight in amateurs. Other things count there. He needs to get a good coach and stay in Germany permanently.
You might have a point there. But then, Wlad KTFOs his opponents with an uncannily similar style whereas Pulev fails to put a dude famous for his glass chin on ***** street. Pulev ain't exactly young either. @Ivo Mind you, I didn't say he has no skills because he obviously is talented and I even praised him for his heart and toughness but a lack of power in the HW division is lethal. He won't get far.
I agree. Cant see Pulev win a world title. European Title maybe. Vacant against a lesser opponent probably.
