"I love England, I want to live there, The West Ham fans when I fought Mitchell showed why the country is so great, they appreciated me, they appreciate warriors"
Bit of publicity to drum up support. Wasnt long ago he was talking about how great it was to be back in his home town toowoomba.
many people would love to live in more than one place u know. but it won't hurt ticket sales, that's for sure.
Whether he's saying it to drum up support or not, I don't care. He's a warrior, and we'd love to have him here.
Why wouldn't he love it? They love him. He packs stadiums there and earns half a mill a fight. They appreciate him, and boxing in general is much much bigger there. He comes back to oz for a homecoming fight. TV isn't interested and no one shoes up. **** that, I wouldn't blame him if he left oz again.
I'd love to live in England as well for about 3 or 4 months in the summer time........ Thailand for a couple of months, New York over xmas time, las vegas anytime and so on
I dont fully blame the oz public. Kats hadnt stepped a foot in oz for five years or something. regardless of how many times he fought on ppv or otherwise overseas, trying to be a draw when you give your country a wide berth will make it difficult. That said, i think he deserves much more support here too. But it is what is is...he obviously needs to spend more time here to grow his fan base.
