She could be the new KT but I'd sure like to see her spar or fight before passing a judgement.

Yeah got to agree half the time the coach is hitting the gloves and the distance the boxer tends to punch it isnt possible hit an actual opponent. These drills can be good for reflexes and short span punching speed
but for actual competition these arent great.
Still that girl looks handy wonder will she enter the intermediates would be interested to see whats she is like in an actual fight.

Reading that story from New Zealand, just brings home how lucky our amateur stars are.

Also according to todays Irish News Brian Magee will be boxing Rudy Markussen in Denmark at the end of January, and also Martinez and Frampton will not happen for definate because of Sky TV dates and Kiko will now be making a compulsory defence instead.

well she definately wont be the next katie taylor, the chances of ireland producing another boxer as successful as katie taylor over the next few years are pretty slim, and a pad drill is not something to give us much info, i seen novices on pads the other day working the pads and couldnt believe they only had a few fights, different story when they were sparring though, she looks pretty old for only having 4 fights too

Taylor welcomed home after another gold

    Monday, 24 October 2011 08:33
Katie Taylor returned home to another hero's welcome at Dublin Airport last night after picking up gold in the European Boxing Championships for the fifth time in succession.
Taylor beat Russia's Sofya Ochigava 10-5 in the final of the 60kg category to further cement her status as one of the great Irish athletes.
After picking up her fifth consecutive gold the Bray boxer is looking ahead to the World Championships and the Olympic Games in London next year.

She told RTÉ: "The main goal of mine is to qualify for the Olympics first but I'm going to enjoy my break.
"But, when I go back training, all my focus will be on the World Championships next year.
"All these tournaments over the last few years have just been a stepping stone towards these Olympic qualifiers really and next year is the big one. That is what everyone has been training for."

Just watched the last few rounds of Kevin Watts v Steve Collins and he sure was some gritty dude.
No pampered 20 and 0 for him against Bulgarian cab drivers, he came through the hard way-doesn't get the credit he deserves for his pre-Eubank career.
