I get the feeling, when I see them together, that Roger is afraid Sr.

Sr is bigger and has great defense. He would probably, eventually figure out and get to Roger.

Nah, Roger was the guy who won world titles - Floyd Sr may be a better coach, but he wasn't on Rogers level in terms of active career.

I think senior fought in a tougher era and probably didn't have good management. I've seen clips of senior and he was a pretty damn good fighter.

I think Floyd Sr was a better skilled fighter. Floyd jr is a spitting image of Floyd sr. Just more polished. The student will eventually become a better version of the teacher. You know that Jedi sh!t. Look at the video of Floyd Sr and you will see where Floyd jr got his defense from. Floyd Sr was very fast and knew how to hit from that famous defensive position. Don't forget he was also tough and had a good chin. Roger relied on his power too much. Speed neutralizes power.

Roger was a borderline great fighter. Definitely a grade A bluechip talent. However Sr. 's defense and jab would dominate. Watch the Ray Leonard fight and you see sweet lil sugar get his ass kicked for the 1st 5 rounds. If Sr. wasn't a party animal durng that time he would've been a world champion. Rogers vices didn't start til much later in life.Sp I'll take Floyd Sr. if you talk about both of them in their prime.

sr cracks that chin. people forget he held hos own with leonard til he was stopped. I mean he was losing but he was doing really nice work and he was a big.
imo all the mayweathers were lacking things that another sibling possesed. sr needed jeffs footwrk. u kan clearly see it because as good as his defense was he would end up being to defensive with his glove and lack out put and sumtimes punches would get through where if he knew how to escape with his feet he would have been better off. jeff needed a chin of sr. which was pretty good but far better than thee other two. mamba needed srs. upper body defense. rog can crack but his chin was so so and he didnt have the defense to go with it. overall sr>roger>>>>>jeff

It is weird that Floyd seems to be a Hybrid of his three uncles, their best attributes combined into one premier fighter.

Senior wins, he's bigger than Roger, had a decent chin and was the better boxer.
Roger is very under-rated though, a very good fighter in his day.

rogers better but SR was good and a 3 divisions bigger so SR wins. Roger was excellent to watch in his prime

I'd go with Sr. He still shows some good hand speed for a man his age.

Roger is ****ing tweaking out all the time and speaks gibberish. Sr. at least seems to have an inkling of sense.
