He will still have a jelly belly but the point is he has lost weight around his neck/face. Even his legs look more muscular.

Looks in decent shape, I really didn't think he would be able to do the weight.

Just hope the dramatic drop doesn't take to much out of him.

Agreed. Will be interesting to see if McGirt has done the necessary ajustments. James needs to carry his right hand just a little higher to catch the left hook these days.

I understand where you are coming from but I just feel James might have enough left to pull out a decission in a tough fight. James just have the style to be effective in the 40''s .

I am not concerned about weight but I am a bit about a ring rust and quality of sparring

The way Toney has abused his body, it's possible that he's finished, but do you actually believe Lebedev is a better boxer?

This guy would be nothing when Toney was terrorizing the cruiserweight division.

Nobody would have ever heard of this guy.

JT looks good! I'm pleased to see him looking in good shape after all these years, but the question remains whether he'll have enough left to take out Lebedev. I think that he will win, almost certainly by UD James hasn't put anyone's 'Lights Out' for many a year.
I know that there's a joke of a title on the line and he is only facing Lebedev but if he pulls off a win, after shedding all this weight and dropping down to Cruiser at his age then it will rank as a great achievement. It will also be sad, in a way, because everyone will see what he could have achieved over the last few years with some dedication and hard work...

    WAR TONEY!!

Toney's chin has looked abit shaky recently. Combine that with the weight drop and he could have some serious problems here.

I will never understand how Sam Peter outfought Toney in the rematch... Toney's shoulder roll along with his power right hand are something out of this world. Not even Mayweather's.

If Toney has anything left he will win and it seems he still has hand speed.
Lebedev is a poor version of Jirov. He has a punch but it took him 10 rounds to KO RJ. Roy looked worse then ever before and still managed to hurt Lebedev.

Toney had ankle injury leading to the rematch so he consecrated to lifting weights to knock out Sam Peter. It hindered his ability to move in the rematch

the weight loss aint gonna hurt him...losing all that fat comes off pretty easy when you keep your calories in check and do all your daily stuff a boxers does in training...
