He fought a Cuban? Wait, what are you talking about Manny has never had a "No Contest". :huh
Sounds like you are reffering to Agapito Sanchez from the Dominican Republic, that fight ended in a Technical Draw.

PAC is crazy dude man. I was watching some of his early fight and I ran across his fight with Lucero. After the fight Merchant did an post interview with him and was asking if PAC wanted to test the 126 or fight the top champ at 122 in Ayala first. PAC said I want Barerra . Even though I know PAC beat Barerra already looking back at that interview, I still think PAC was crazy for saying that. Anyway PAC three fights ( pretty much back to back ) vs Barerra, Marquez, and Morales is a bad ass...you don't see streak like that anymore. His streak with Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto is also impressive considering he pretty much a featherweight, lightweight fighter.

I don't remember. It was on the undercard of a PPV I watched at my dad's house years ago. He looked good against a guy he should have looked good against.

I thought MAB was the more complete fighter going into that matchup based on that one experience.

I disagree watching the old Barrera fights are a treat like his fight against McKinney he was a boxer-puncher with one of the best body attacks in the sport later on he transformed to a much better boxer like his fight against Hamed proved but early on he was a body puncher destroyer and a damn good one I miss fighters like that, also no raw fighter lands as often and clean as he did against quality opposition.

The first Marquez match. I remember being impressed with his speed, power and general explosiveness, but I wasn't a big fan of his brawling style. I particularly enjoyed his first bout with Morales, but it wasn't until he began moving up in weight that I began truly appreciating him, due to the more polished technique he was displaying. The circular movement and quick strikes against Hoya, the excellent first knockdown (from a surprisingly graceful looking counter-and-slip) and devastating KO shot against Hatton, and then the display of toughness and speed against Cotto. Definitely a big fan at this point.

i actually saw him on person back in the 90s, he was sitting ringside besides us watching some local boxing hosted by our mayor. he was already a champion as was told by my father, i actually have no care about boxing at the time, i was more of a taekwondo/karate fan when i was a kid. i first saw him fight at the barrera fight, and became a fan since then.

Yea... sounds like very few of us go back as far as Julio. Some go back as far as Sanchez and Ledwaba. I liked Ledwaba as well, he was a good, technical fighter with alot of mobility. Pac just ate him up... but this destruction of Julio was awesome. The crowd was stunned. He took Julio out like a light...
