Morales has fought and beaten better fighters than Hopkins has , absolute period , infact his destruction of Junior jones and schooling of Ayala shows his variety. Hopkins loses to fast fighters. He has fought 4 and lost to 4.

Morales was a better offensive fighter, Hopkins was a better defensive fighter, both were great fighters undoubtedly. Hopkins has that amazing longevity & that scores high but Morales fought in tougher divisions his entire career, Hopkins only really lost to Roy Jones in his prime, pretty clear-cut... Morales only ever lost to Barrera in his prime, a highly debateable decision. Both are ATG fighters but Hopkins spent a large part of his career fighting men in a weak MW division while the younger Morales was taking on better fighters regularly & taking names thru 3 divisions (122, 126, 130) I vote for Morales !
