This is tough. Would have been nice to see some Langford footage against someone with Tunney's movement, jab, and defense. Going to go with Tunney, but not confident about it.

Tunney survives any shaky moments and generally outboxed Sam to a UD.

I voted for Langford, based on a number of factors including his sucess in his series against Joe Jeanette, and other jesters.

    Not a confident pick though.

Tunney is the perfect foil for Langford. Tunney decision.

Hm, Langford beat a few guys with decent movement like Jeanette. Tunney is much better though and has a better defence. If it goes to the cards I expect Tunney to come out on top. So, the question is "can Tunney take Langford´s best?" Tunney had a great chin but could be hurt and put down. Langford is one of the best finishes ever. I think he get´s the job done.

Tunney for me, it's not about him being a great lateral mover, a lot of people understate how rugged Tunney was, a very rugged fighter, he was great at smashing guys with short right hands in the clinch, he had a great one two from distance. Langford is gunna cause him hell, I'm on the fence but fall off on Tunney's side

Langford takes this in a match that changes from tactical chess to rough and ready.

I think sam can get inside tunney and smash away at his body slowing him down over the second half of the fight before beating him to a tko.

I doubt that too. In fact, the limited footage we have (i'm aware that there's nobody in Tunney's class on film, of course the reverse is true) giving ground against Langford looks like suicide.

Jeanette's movement is **** compared to Langford. Jeannette was bigger so he was content to smother and wrestle. Tunney would never fight like that against Langford.

That's a good question, but Tunney might have to take Langford's best shot. Dempsey got his in with explosion. What's Dempsey's height, reach, and speed in comparison to Langford? He won't be able to shot in from middle to long range like that. I think Tunney avoids Langford's best shot (Maybe not a better punch, I think he'll take that, though).

Against who in such limited footage? Tunney is a master boxer-mover. Langford is small with calculated offensive pressure. He's an endurance fighter. He's not fast or explosive. Tunney will handle him.

What makes you think that Langford is not fast or explosive?

Also, you would be selling him short a little to class him merely as a pressure fighter.
