In the Haye - Wlad prediction thread

Considering Haye's amazing upper body movement and slipping of punches in his fight with Wlad, and the problems it posed for Wlads ability to land leather on him

What do you think this says for an actual bout taking place between Wladimir and Tyson. Given that assuming Haye could, prime Tyson would be able to slip Wlads jabs - and he would be infinitely more aggressive and jab his way in, slipping, working the body aswell as the head

Given that also, it is somewhat of a myth that Tyson 'struggled' with taller fighters

While he did not blow them out as he did some others, he generally dominated them for 10 rounds while they tried to survive, spoil, and hold on (UD, UD, UD, UD etc)

Those who think Wladimir would have beaten prime Tyson (especially those who have said he would have knocked him out), could you please state why, and try to give examples from any of Mike + Wlads prime fights (so not Lennox, Buster, Sanders or Brewster)

Wlad was happy just to jab his way safely against Haye with no intention of mixing it as he was in total control..........Against a prime Tyson he would have had that death row look when they touched gloves....and then Tyson would have taken him apart, worse than Sanders did..

  4. Haye was all 12 rounds in defensive mode. You want to compare this to a Tyson who actually attacks you when he slips punches?

Tyson would get clipped a lot more than Haye. And Wladimir would have a lot tougher time to keep him at bay.

Im a huge Wladimir fan but Tyson is a complete nightmare for him.

Vitali is the only Klitschko who would be in with a good shot against Mike, and I'd favor Vitali to beat him.

because tyson would have tryed to land on wlad while slipping and he would have been knocked out in doing so..haye didnt try to land on wlad and was happy slipping on the outside which isnt hard to do esp when your in the shape haye was in...people who say tyson was all wrong for wlad arnt looking at the bigger picture wlad is actually a complete nightmare for tyson..and telling us not to bring up lewis cant be done considering wlad and lewis and basicly carbon copys with very few diferences

Wladimir couldn't knock Lamon Brewster out who stood in front of him with little to no headmovement, but he's going to knock out Mike Tyson who not only had superb headmovement, but also had iron whiskers?

    Give me a ****ing break.

Brewster landed 38% of his punches in both their bouts, so don't give me the "Tyson wouldn't be able to land on a taller target like Wladimir with defense".

Tyson would put pressure early, hit him hard, Wladimir will panic and Steward will panic with him, seeing him get knocked out.

Vitali is cut from a different cloth, he's a different class of fighter.

Vitali also does not get hit with 38% of his opponents punches, specifically, Lamon Brewster punches. Wladimir would be in serious trouble early against Mike, I'd bet my bottom dollar on it.

The difference is Mike was shot, out of shape and fighting for money. Counting that fight would be like counting Roy Jones against Lebidev. Pointless.

First, I have to say Tyson and Wlad are two of my favorite fighters.

Second, any comparison of Haye to Tyson is total bull****.

2a. Tyson had perfect technique. Haye has **** for technical skills.

2b. Tyson had amazing punch slipping skills, which is head movement only to maintain balance. Haye moves his whole body and is off balance.

2c. Tyson mastered the bob & weave, peek a boo defense. Haye is showboating, his only defense is off balance dodging, running, ducking.

2d. The only similarities between Tyson and Haye is the color of their skin and their propensity to speak nonsense.

    3. Wlad beat the **** out of Haye for 12 rounds. I wouldn't call that successful unless you define successful as not getting KTFO.

    4. Tyson is all wrong for Wlad, as I've said on many, many occasions. However, one of Tyson's flaws was losing confidence and desire when he couldn't get to his opponent. (ie: Lewis fight). Wlad would be extremely hard to get to and I could see Tyson losing steam and getting systematically beat down.
