Come on why would he have to go back to Manchester for that he is now a stablemate with Kevin Mitchell ffs. :D

On a serious note probably needed someone to talk to who has obviously seen what Frankie is going through first hand, him and Frankie are good pals not just coach and student.

Any news on why Frankie pulled out?

His career is going nowhere, fast.

A move out of the UK at the start of his career would of probably of done him wonders.

I just hope that he doesn't turn into a 'what if' story.

    Know it all?

Read your previous post. no information, nothing - yet you still tried to sully someones good name with pointless gossipy speculation.

Im sorry if you took offence, but for ****s sake

    Its obviously weight issues

this is a guy who had an OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL in front of him there for the taking but didnt even have the discipline to make the weight. eating beans on toast and drinking diet coke.

he then did a foolish thing by wasting another few years of progress by going to farnell and continuing to eat rubbish and basically be his own trainer

And now even Tibbs cant get gavins house in order.

Not to mention the shabby performances vs mutley and woodhouse when he does actually get inside the ring.

frankie gavin is going nowhere imo. doesnt have the discipline to work on things to get to the highest level. its unfortunate but he will go down as a very big waste of talent mark my words

If he is struggling to make 147 then there are serious issues!

I don't reckon this will be a weight issue.

Oh Frankie, you do make it hard to feel sympathy for you. Huge amounts of talent but has shown consistently a complete lack of discipline. Be interesting to hear what he says

When I first read this I thought weight issues as he has left it so late if it is personal problems we all no about them and they have been there for a while, maybe something bug has happened in the last 48 hours or so who knows?

But my money would be he has weight issues.

Has he taken his facebook down?. Was hoping to see his wall and see any developments.

I'm gutted i actually started to like way Gavin was talking plus way he conducted himself on here. I was never sold on him till then and thought maybe he will knuckle down.

This doesn't mean he hasn't but Dixon was right there's right and wrong ways to deal with things. Obviously the issues have become to much for him. I wouldn't advise any boxer to go into the ring with problems on his mind.

@ lirva - Sadly agreed pal.

Didn't GBP want him at some point as well?

    He is falling fast man.

I have no idea what his issues are and I like the guy and I hope everything gets cleared up but unless something has just happened to make this worse (which ******'s comments seem to suggest hasn't happened) then I think people have every reason to criticise him.

He knows that the whole show is being promoted around him, he knows that they are trying to build a TV channel, he knows that if he doesn't fight that the whole show could collapse and yet he has done this. People saying he has to earn a living well so do the others on the bill and he could have cost them had they show been cancelled.

I hope Frankie gets himself sorted but I think people have every right to criticise him
