Looks like he has jumped in to save the bill, is he ready for Horta who whilst not being a world beater is a good European level fighter. How did Dean look on his comeback the other week, heard so much about him but never got to see him, lets hope he can win this on route to better things. Anyone tell me much about him boxing wise, I know he beat Frontin the other week but some people said he looked rusty but then I guess he would. Brave step by the kid at such short notice, good luck to him
Horta is a European level fighter? I don't think so. More like French domestic level. Against Frontin, Byrne looked to be carrying a bit of ring rust and was pushing for the stoppage a bit too much against a very capable, and slippery opponent.
I never seen Horta but Frontin was a decent fella for first fight back. Byrne though will need to improve but what a great way to progress career when 2 weeks back it was stalling and people couldn't believe he was actually gonna make it to ring and fight.
Nice one Dean, i bet hes sore as hell from last week due to being inactive Hopefully his promoter wont forget this
fair pay to dean but lets not go crazy. Horta is the level of opponent he should have been fighting a year ago anyway.
Judging by Deans last outing this could be slightly tricky for him. Good to see him out again if it happens.
Did anyone else notice Dean constatly at his nose in his last fight. It was only my second time seeing him fight, the other being a fight of his in City West Dublin, last year I and I hadn't noticed this then. Did he have a cold ot the flu or soemthing? He was at it on his ring walk and through out the fight. Rubbing his nose with his his left glove.
Horta will be better on paper and in the ring than the man selected for Kell in December, trust me! This is a tough, tough fight for Deano! See you in Manchester. Adios.
