Carl Froch should NOT be fighting for the Ring Title

Bute beating a guy Froch already beat is gonna prove what exactly ? The only think Bute is proven is that he is consistent in taking on Froch's leftovers. Magee and now Johnson,.

 

Of course it is. Not because either of them have belts around their waists, but because they are #1 and #2.

Drinker's logic is different though, because neither of these are the Ring champion. Martinez vs Barker was for the Ring title, it's not a question of being worthy when there's a champion.

 

Froch/Ward are fighting for the vacant title. Which should be contested between the two best in the division. The first and 3rd best in exceptional circumstances.

I believe Bute and Kessler should be ranked higher than Froch.

 

Then you either;

A) Don't know how rankings work

or

A) Are a literal ******

Kessler has the win over Froch so you can at least make a case for ranking him higher. Bute on the other hand has no case at all to be ranked over Froch.

Bute and Kessler do clearly have a case, Kessler beat Froch and has remained unbeaten... Bute wasn't in the super 6 but clearly has shown enough to be a real threat.
