Will everbody go for Povetkin's belt now and wait until K2 retire?

Looks that way yes... And even the fans of some of the lesser and/or already beaten heavyweights seem to want their man to go for that belt.
They don't care how paper it is (fans and boxers alike), they want that "easy" belt.

that belt means zero and anyone that knows Boxing knows that. If you want to be WBA Heavyweight Champion you have to beat Wlad Klitschko.

That wba regular title means as much as wbf or ibo, meaningless

 

They will be going after his belt but not to avoid the Klitschko's but to get a bigger purse against them just like Haye did.

Please explain to me how winning that meaningless trinket is going to help someone get a bigger purse? :huh Wlad is ALREADY the WBA Heavyweight Champion. He can't win the regular title and having it is not going to increase anything either the purse or bargaining power. Haye had a belt Wlad needed. He doesn't need the regular title now.

 

Name another era where a top contender refused a title shot? Now here we are with virtually all the top contenders unwilling to fight for the HW Championship. It speaks to their dominance as fighters and will undoubtedly have to be factored in when analysing their legacy post retirement. This is completely unprecedented.

Povetkin, Haye, Valuev, Helenius, Fury, Dimitrenko, Arreola, Boytsov have all shown an unwillingness at one point or another. Some like Povetkin or Boytsov completely reorganizing their career progression with the center principal being avoiding Klychko.

 

You think that really matters to the people promoting the fight? Come on you dumb old **** you more then most should know that the TV stations and promoters do whatever and say whatever to promote a fight. Just like they promote an interim title fight as a WORLD title fight and just like every other WBA "regular" champion is promoted as a World Championship fight.

No matter what the hardcore fans really know a fight against whoever has that WBA regular title and either Klitschko will be billed as Champion vs Champion and thus the other "champion" will demand more money..... whether they get it or not is another story but that will be the plan for any heavyweight in line for a title shot right now. Get that easy WBA regular title and "unify" vs one of the Klitschko's.
