If Vitali's not a P4P-er, break down your top 10 and compare their resume to his

Are the people claiming Vitali doesn't have skill actually boxing fans?

It's astounding that someone can say that and call themselves a fan of this sport.

Awkward is always underrated. Darchinyan, beating Z Gorres (robbery draw), KOing top5 P4P-er Mijares and destryoing skilled champ Kirolov for the World SFW Championship clearly becoming the fighter of the year in 2008, never got credit for his run. Calzaghe also is underappreciated to this day, I guess you can add Froch, Moreno, Caballero or Huck - it's not pretty what they do, but usually pretty effective. There's no other boxer on the planet as effective as Vitali at his age. He's scary effective with his stuff.

Pacs 2008 run was sick as well, this is my current p4p list.
    1pac
    2floyd
    3sergio
    4nonito
    5marquez
    6wlad
    7vitali
    8hopkins
    9gamboa
    10segura

Vitali's domination since the comeback barely losing a round and being easily on top with wlad makes him p4p worthy imo.

I've never said "I'm a Klitschko fan" meaning both brothers. I'm a fan of Wlad, absolutely, but I don't like Vitali at all. He's an overrated, cheating, hypocritical bully.

The difficulty with including Heavyweights in P4P rankings is that "heavyweights" are all treated as equal in their weightclass. Whereas clearly it's the division with the biggest discrepancies.

In his last few fights Vitali has:

    30 pound weight advantage
Even (against a fat dude. Vit is clearly a bigger man than Solis.)
Outweighed by 11 pounds by a horrendously bloated Briggs.
    20 pound weight advantage
Around even (KJ, but big height advantage)
    Even with a fat Nipples
    20 pound weight advantage.

And what? On average a 4 inch height advantage?

It's very hard to match him with other guys that are fighting opponents of roughly the same size, when Vitaly is constantly fighting opponents considerably smaller than him.

Now, that's not Vitaly's fault. He can't shrink. But makes P4P lists very hard when considering welters.

Whereas you have guys like Pac clearly fighting above their weight class, Vitaly - in theory - is always fighting guys from smaller divisions.

Again, that's just a vagary of the heavyweight division.

Size difference is part of the game, always was for HWs. It IS an issue, but you can disregard elite performances for it, it's like saying someone has "unfair" speed or power edge on the other, like a Gamboa. What do you expect him to do? Put it this way: how come big boy Klitschkos are utterly dominating and the equally big Thompsons, Austins, Briggs' and Dimitrenkos are not - they are often losing to much smaller guys. Lewis never was discredited for outweighing Holyfield, Tyson etc., and he shouldn't be, it's the heavyweights. What matters are the names, titles and quality of performances, that alone should decide whether you credit Vitali with a top10 P4P position or rank 10 other pros ahead of him. It's P4P for a reason, it's beyond weight classes and sizes. I'm simply asking for the names, their titles and performances to argue they are deservedly ahead of VK.
