I cant believe Roach said that, hes insulting his own sport by saying a guy with no experience in one yr can beat champions who dedicated their life and have perfected their craft

its funny that they have to still attack boxing and brainwash their fans to hate boxing

boxing publications dont rag on UFC

everytime i see comment sections on youtube its always MMA guys feeling the need to take out their frustration on boxing

its kinda funny, maybe they realize that the gigs up

Imagine the response if Emanuel Steward said Wlad would kick O"neils ass in a basketball match.. So ridiculous you cant even be funny about it!

It would have to be a basketball coach to compare to Roach saying that about Shaq. It's more similar to Phil Jackson saying Wlad would beat Shaq in a basketball match after a year of training. That's how ridiculous it is.

When Shaq first came to Miami in '04, he dropped down to around 320 lbs and was in fantastic shape yet still averaged less minutes per game on the season than he ever had up to that point of his career. At the age of 40, there's no way he could get himself in the type of condition to 12 round with any HW much less a Klitscho. He would have to score a stoppage in 3 rounds to have a chance, and that might be a generous prediction based on how beat up and out of shape he is at this point.

"do YOU think Shaq could beat a klit if he had 1 year to train?"

Sure he could - and pigs could fly if they had a year to train.

    Within a year, no.

But if Shaq had boxed for years, he might've been a monster. He is 7'1" and 320 lbs with little fat. With some fat, he's 350+. And the guy was pretty athletic/agile for a guy that huge. I can't imagine the power his right hand would've had. The guy used to push around 7ft 260 lb centers like nothing in the NBA. The raw talent was there.

That guy was am amazing athlete for a guy his size. We ain't talking about no Valuev here whose sole attribute was size alone.

    So true.

But what Shaq doesn't understand is that the Klits are also amazing athletes for their size and they specialize in boxing and have proven themselves in their chosen sport.

Shaq wouldn't stand a chance if he trained for 1 year or 10.
