    1.25 million.

    Fat dan on his twitter...

The Mayweather-Ortiz fight generated $78,440,000 in PPV revenue, making it the 2nd-highest grossing non-heavyweight PPV ever.

In terms of buys (not revenue), the 1.25 million Mayweather-Ortiz did means it tied for third all-time among non-heavyweight PPVs. #boxing

Not great, just solid. Pac - SSM still did better.

Sports illustrated reported that this fight did around 1.15 million, so within a decent range.

This is a very good number considering Ortiz was unknown, no hype for the fight ( not in the same manner as mayweather Mosley) and also the fact that many people are losing jobs.

I guess mayweather really is a winner.

No, SSM coming off a loss to Mayweather and a draw to Mora, and Pac fighting twice a year...

I honestly feel Pac has been the bigger draw since he KO'd Hatton. Floyd is right at his heels tho

Saying Ortiz is an "unknown" is a bit of an overstatement?

making it the 2nd-highest grossing non-heavyweight PPV ever.

Dude I don't want to argue numbers bc it's stupid but PBF - Mosley did better then Pac - Mosley.

    Ortiz is comparable to Clottey.

either way the fight will be a 50-50 split both Manny and Floyd have already agreed to that. They are both smart enough to realize that they have to split the money so why do there fans argue?
