Really good numbers and the revenue is crazy too!

People just don't realise how HUGE of stars Manny and Floyd are.

For a defensive fighter what Mayweather has acheived is absolute GREATNESS. There have been some great fighters who put on great fights that have never gotten half of the buy Mayweather gets.

Damn that bad guy image works!

This is the point I was getting at for a defensive fighter and perceived coward to hold not only the biggest fight in boxing history but also the top 3 grossing non heavyweight bouts is an amazing achievement.

Spin what? Look at your posts

Instead of taking the numbers at face value, you're talking about Pac being more impressive considering the language and nationality.

    78.4>71.4
    77.4>71.4

    Mayweather's numbers always > Pacquiao's numbers

Bottom line is what matters, not nationality. "Moral victories are for minor league cultures", keep it up Rico.

That fight was talked about more than any actual fight that has occured this year. If the object is to entertain, that fight delivered.

Not to mention holding the PPV record in UK too!

It's funny that when he posts up numbers like this (top 3 of all time) and posters use words like these numbers are "disappointing" or "ok" or "alright" you know they are bitter.

Just be men and admit that YOU were wrong and Mayweather is infact a huge draw!

Can you, like, seriously not spot the difference between an Arnold Schwarzenegger and a Manny Pacquiao? The former moved to the States in his early 20s and only got his big break and mainstream recognition when he starred in Conan. That’s, what, 15 years? Plenty of time to live in a country and pick up its language to speak it fluently. Being Caucasian and looking less foreign-like, probably helped his cause, too.

Whereas Pacquiao, so far, has only spent 10 years in the US. Even then, he only visits for training. The rest of the time he’s back in the Philippines. And most importantly, he speaks very little English. In a celebrity world where being able to give interviews and address the public to market yourself goes a very long way, Pacquiao has had to manage without it.

Not to mention, Hollywood and sport are two very different industries with two very differing host of factors that determine an individual’s success/support. The latter can be very nationalistic. Who a fan follows, can depend so much on the nationality or an area that particular athlete is from. You don’t have that restriction in Hollywood. You don’t become a fan of Brad Pitt because he’s American, or Jackie Chan because he’s Chinese. You’re a fan of them because of their talents and movies they’ve been in. Whereas athletes like boxers, aren’t afforded with such welcoming arms. There’s a reason why the biggest cross-over boxing stars in the US have all been American - Mayweather, Oscar, Tyson, Ali, SRL, Holyfield, Foreman, etc. And you’re telling me the nationality of a fighter isn’t a notable factor in being able to sell PPVs?

Why even bother arguing with Pac fans.
