we can only make some speculation about this possible fight .... both are great fighters , but the truth is that Froch fought with "A" class opponents, unlike Bute which fought with decent "B" class opp. Froch has good power in his punches , iron chin, warrior heart and good reach & stamina , on the other hand Bute has a great footwork , reach, one punch k.o power, better speed & counter ...... we will see , who will win this bout, if is gonna happen ...
Ward might try to "steal" Froch's space, I'm intrigued to see what kind of tactics they'll chose. Right now I tend to think if the fight goes full 12 Ward will win a UD.
Here is the money-maker in an altogether solid post. If Froch cannot turn the fight into a clutch and grab tango, Bute will hit him at will.
Say it often now, say it often. You won't be able to trash his schedule (he might lose against other top 4 guys, hence me not saying resume) much more longer than this, IMO we're looking at him fighting two of Froch/Ward/Kessler within the next 12-14 months.
Man those are all great points, Bute also has a underrated jab its quick and he used it some in his last fight like a half hook at times but Froch just is so open to hit, he leaves his hands down to low and he doesnt have the speed of someone like Bute to get away with it. I think Bute stoppes Froch if they fight in 7 maybe 8 rounds

Frochovski granite chin would be sledgehammered. Bute has the perfect gameplan tans leftie stance to destroy that chin. Dirrell was taking froch apart when he started punching.
, Bika has some brute power in his hands , better than Froch I think. Froch's power is too overrated , Abraham has better power than Froch too. Bika and Andrade would have deserved to be in s6 in the place of Green and Dirrel / Abraham or Tylor.:yep
First of all we gonna name the guys who beat or gave Froch very tough fights: 1 Jermain Taylor 2 Andre Dirrell 3 Mikkel Kessler Second We are gonna enumerate the similarities in skills that Bute has with those guys: 1 Hand speed 2 Good Footwork 3 Technique 4 Counterpuncing 5 Angles Third we are gonna add other skills he has beside the similaritys witch normally should increase the succes rate against Froch: 1 Timing & Accuracy (what Kessler lacked in the Froch fight that he won but very close, to close) You could argue here that Kessler's lack of timing and accuracy was created by Froch sluggish and akward style but this also could result from eye problems he had, also from the fact he might not be in his prime anymore. 2 Puncing power. Yes Kessler has it and he wobled Froch, Taylor has it and he put down Froch, even Dirrell has some more being generated by the great hands speed than raw power itself but he still has it and he also wobled Froch. I think Bute's above all of them in punching power and more then that it is mixed up with good accuracy and great speed of execution. Thinking that he has the some angles that you can't see the punch comming from it is something to look out for. 3 Bodyshots. Bute is if not the best then he surly is one of top3 current world best bodypunchers. He is undoubtedly the best SMW in this area. He hurt and stopped many opponents.Froch was upset and drained of energy from bodyshts landed by Kessler in that fight. Bute also has more than one Knock-Out punches: 1 Uppercut to the chin(Miranda/Brinkley/Magee) or to the body (Zuniga/Andrade/Bringley/Magee) 2 Left Hook (Andrade/Berrio) 3 Overhand left (Mendy) Against Bute you won't be able to protect against one punch only and think that your safe, against him you can protect only one side of your body and think that your safe, because he can hit hard to the head and to the body, he had guys KD with precise punches to the chin, ribb chage, solar plexus and temple. Bute also has good reflexes, head and body movement that is used for defense but also for offense fainiting to create an opening or to draw the opponent into responding so he could anticipate and counter. When Froch is match or surpassed in skills he turns the fight into a messy brawl, that will hide his shortcomings and most of the times end in clinches wide swings or because of the exagerated dashing fighters will get often tagled up (see Froch-Dirrell, Froch-Pascal, Froch-Kessler) *** Good points Wrote by an american...not a Canadian or a Romanian.... This is analysis of Bute and not just looking the list of his past opponents
